Bow Lane - Temporary Prohibition of Pedestrian & Vehicular Traffic for adjacent building maintenance
What is happening?
MANCHESTER CITY COUNCIL TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER_ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED)
Notice is hereby given that the City Council intends, in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s):
ORDER NO. MCC000140113442: The City of Manchester (Bow Lane, Deansgate Ward)(Temporary Prohibition of Pedestrian & Vehicular Traffic) Order 2024 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular and pedestrian traffic on Bow Lane, Deansgate Ward between Cross Street and Clarence Street. The alternative routes for pedestrian and vehicular traffic will be: Cross Street, Tib Lane, Clarence Street. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate adjacent building maintenance. It is expected that the works will be in progress from 6th October 2024 to 3rd November 2024. The order shall come into operation on the 6th October 2024 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period. Dated: 25th September 2024.
ORDER NO. MCC140167813: The City of Manchester (Castle Street, Deansgate Ward)(Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2024 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Castle Street at its junction with Duke Street. The alternative routes for traffic will be: Duke Street, Liverpool Road, Deansgate, Castle Street & Vice Versa. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate de-vegitation of the railway bridge. It is expected that the works will be in progress from 7th October 2024 to 12th October 2024 between 22:00hrs and 06:00hrs each shift. The order shall come into operation on 7th October 2024 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period. Kevin Gillham.
