What is happening?

Temporary Closure of Coal Orchard, Taunton

Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along Coal Orchard - from the junction with St James Street, for its entirety. A total distance of 78 metres. This Order will enable Wales & West Utilities to replace a gas main.

The Order becomes effective on 3rd October 2024 and will remain in force for eighteen months. The works are expected to commence on 7th October 2024 and last until 1st November 2024 between the hours of 00:00 - 23:59 for a total of 26 days.
