KIRKLEES COUNCIL

(TRAFFIC REGULATION) (CONSOLIDATION ORDER
PROVIDING ON-STREET PARKING PLACES, WAITING, LOADING AND STOPPING RESTRICTIONS AND MIGRATION TO A ‘MAP-BASED’ FORMAT) ORDER 2024 (AMENDMENT NO. 12) ORDER 2024
SPRING GROVE/CHAPEL HILL, CLAYTON WEST

The Council of the Borough of Kirklees propose to make the above Order under their powers in the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which, as it affects lengths of road in the Clayton West area of the Kirklees district, will be to amend the Kirklees Council (Traffic Regulation) (Consolidation Order Providing On-Street Parking Places, Waiting, Loading And Stopping Restrictions and Migration to a ‘Map-Based’ Format) Order 2024 so as to:

• Prohibit the waiting at any time on a length of Spring Grove/Chapel Hill, Clayton West

REASON: This order is proposed to introduce a restriction on Spring Grove / Chapel Hill, Clayton West to assist flood prevention operations by Kirklees Council. The introduction of a ‘no waiting at any time’, will prevent vehicles from parking and blocking access to key infrastructure in the adjacent river.

It is intended that these proposals will reduce the risk of parking affecting access.

A copy of this draft Order, together with the Order Map Schedule showing the affected lengths of road and a detailed statement of reasons for proposing the Order may be inspected at:-

• Online: http://www.kirklees.gov.uk/trafficregulation
• By emailing highways.TRO@kirklees.gov.uk
• Kirklees Council Customer Service Centre, Civic Centre 3, Huddersfield HD1 2YZ

If you wish to object to the proposed Order, you should send the grounds for your objection to:

• by email: TRO.Objections@kirklees.gov.uk; or
• by post to TRO Objections, Kirklees Council Legal Services, PO Box 1720, Huddersfield HD1 9EL

Objections must be sent no later than 22 October 2024, and please ensure you quote reference DEV/HG/D116-2412AO

Dated this 24 September 2024
