Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
MAIDSTONE AREA
A20 London Road, Hollingbourne (TEMPORARY SPEED REDUCTION) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow the Maidstone Half Marathon event to be held, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily restrict through traffic on part of A20 London Road, Hollingbourne, on or after 20th October 2024 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be restricted to 50mph from the Hollingbourne Interchange to the junction of Eyhorne Street, between the hours of 08:30 and 13:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
Church Road, Otham ME15 8SB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow new development works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Church Road, Otham, on or after 18th October 2024 for up to 14 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside St. Nicholas Church. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Church Road, Deringwood Drive, Willington Street, A274 Sutton Road, Gore Court Road and vice versa.
East Street, Harrietsham ME17 1GJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow overhead cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of East Street, Harrietsham, on or after 15th October 2024 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Borden Cottages, between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via East Street, A20 Ashford Road, Faversham Road, High Street, Headcorn Road, Sandway Road and vice versa.
Heniker Lane, Sutton Valence (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Heniker Lane, Sutton Valence, on or after 15th October 2024 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from Sutton Cottage to Round Oak, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Heniker Lane, East Sutton Road, A274 Maidstone Road, A274 Headcorn Road, Heniker Lane and vice versa.
Marden Road, Staplehurst TN12 0GN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow highway improvement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Marden Road, Staplehurst, on or after 30th September 2024 for up to 16 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Baldwins Farm. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Marden Road, A229 Station Road, A229 Maidstone Road, A229 Staplehurst Road, B2079 Maidstone Road, Howland Road, Battle Lane, Marden Road and vice versa.
Warwick Place, Maidstone ME16 8BL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & SUSPENSION OF ONE-WAY) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow new gas connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Warwick Place, Maidstone, on or after 30th September 2024 for up to 8 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside 5. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The One-way order on Warwick Place will be suspended to allow access.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Warwick Place, A26 Tonbridge Road, Bower Street and vice versa.
