What is happening?

EAST SUSSEX COUNTY COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

The East Sussex (U2103 Rodmill Drive, Eastbourne) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Rodmill Drive – from the junction with A2270 Willingdon Road to the junction with A2021 Kings Drive.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via A2270 Willingdon Road, Crossways roundabout – A2021 Kings Drive, Rodmill roundabout and vice versa.

The Order commences 23 September 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 23 and 27 September 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U2148 Bourne Street, Eastbourne) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

To allow UKPN to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Bourne Street – from the junction with U2146 Cavendish Place to the junction with U2154 Dursley Road.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U2148 Bourne Street – U2149 Ashford Road – U2146 Cavendish Place and vice versa.

The Order commences 10 October 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 10 October and 6 November 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (C712 Rattle Road, Stone Cross, Westham) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Rattle Road – from the junction with B2104 Lion Hill to the junction with U7129 Windmill Green.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C712 Rattle Road – B2191 Eastbourne Road – B2191 Hide Hollow – B2104 Friday Street – B2104 Lion Hill and vice versa.

The Order commences 9 October 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 9 and 10 October 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.
