Folkestone and Hythe, Multiple Temporary Traffic Regulation Notices

What is happening?

Highways

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

FOLKESTONE AND HYTHE AREA

A20 Barrow Hill & A20 Main Road, Sellindge, TN25 6JB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow bridge works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of A20 Barrow Hill & A20 Main Road, Sellindge, on or after 30th September 2024 for up to 8 hours or until the works have been completed.

Closures will be between the hours of 22:00 and 06:00 only.

A20 Barrow Hill will be closed at the railway bridge, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

A20 Main Road at the railway bridge, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any Westbound through traffic is via A20 Barrow Hill, A20 Ashford Road, A261 Hythe Road, A261 London Road, A259 Military Road, A259 Red Lion Square, A259 Dymchurch Road, A259 Hythe Road, A259 High Street, A259 Dymchurch Road, A259 High Street, A259 Lydd Road, A259 Rhee Wall, A2070 Rhee Wall To Ashford Road, A2070 From Ashford Road To District Boundary, A2070 Ashford Road, A2070 Hamstreet Bypass, A2070 Bad Munstereifel Slip East Bound On, A2070 Bad Munstereifel Road, A20 Hythe Road and A20 Main Road.

The alternative route for any Eastbound through traffic is via A20 Main Road, A20 Hythe Road, A2070 Bad Munstereifel Road, A2070 Bad Munstereifel Slip West Bound Off, A2070 Hamstreet Bypass, A2070 Ashford Road, A2070 From Ashford Road To District Boundary, A2070 Rhee Wall To Ashford Road, A259 Rhee Wall, A259 Lydd Road, A259 High Street, A259 Dymchurch Road, A259 High Street, A259 Hythe Road, A259 Dymchurch Road, A259 Scanlons Bridge, A261 London Road, A261 Hythe Road, A20 Ashford Road and A20 Barrow Hill.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

A260 Dover Road, Folkestone, CT19 5NJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow bridge works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of A260 Dover Road, Folkestone, on or after 2nd October 2024 for up to 8 hours or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed at the railway bridge, between the hours of 22:00 and 06:00, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any Southbound through traffic is via A260 Dover Road, A260 Hill Road, A260 Hill Road Dual Carriageway, A259 Canterbury Road, A259 Black Bull Road, A259 Radnor Park Road, A259 Cheriton Road, A2304 Cheriton Road, A2033 Middelburg Square, Foresters Way, A2033 Grace Hill, A2033 New Street, A2033 Bradstone Road and A2033 Dover Road.

The alternative route for any Northbound through traffic is via A2033 Dover Road, Harbour Way, Radnor Bridge Road, Ryland Place, A260 The Tram Road, A2033 Harbour Street, A2033 Tontine Street, A2033 Dover Road, A2033 Grace Hill, A2033 Shellons Street, A2033 Middelburg Square, A2034 Cheriton Gardens, A2034 Shorncliffe Road, A259 Castle Hill Avenue, A259 Cheriton Road, A259 Radnor Park Road, A259 Black Bull Road, A259 Canterbury Road, A260 Hill Road Dual Carriageway, A260 Hill Road and A260 Dover Road.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Gillman Close, Hawkinge, CT18 7EF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow gas works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Gillman Close, Hawkinge, on or after 30th September 2024 for up to 12 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from number 6 to number 23, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

There is no alternative route. Every effort will be made to maintain access for residents whenever it is safe to do so.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

North Elham Hill, Elham (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of North Elham Hill, Elham, on or after 14th October 2024 for up to 6 hours or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions of Holly Hill and Green Lane, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via North Elham Hill, Golden Hill, Reece Lane, A260 Canterbury Road, Hoad Road, Forge Hill, Oak Hill, Beresforstal Hill, Canterbury Road, New Road, High Street and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Parade Road, Sandgate CT20 3BU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & SUSPENSION OF ONE-WAY) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Parade Road, Sandgate, on or after 14th October 2024 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions of A259 Sandgate Road and Granville Parade. The one-way Order will be suspended the entire length to allow access, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via A259 Sandgate High Street, Granville Road East, Granville Parade and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Park Gate Road, Bladbean, CT4 6NB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Park Gate Road, Bladbean, on or after 14th October 2024 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions of Stud Farm Lane and Elham Park, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Stud Farm Lane, Bills Hill, Wildage & Madams Bottom, Elham Park, Park Gate Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Park Road, Littlestone, TN28 8QA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow gas works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Park Road, Littlestone, on or after 14th October 2024 for up to 15 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions of Queens Road and B2071 Littlestone Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Queens Road, Grand Parade, B2071 Littlestone Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Pilgrims Way, Postling (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow utility works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Pilgrims Way, Postling, on or after 16th October 2024 for up to 7 hours or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction of B2068 Stone Street to Pent Farm, between the hours of 09:00 and 16:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Pilgrims Way, B2068 Stone Street, B2068 Stanford Bypass, B2068 Stanford Intersection, A20 Ashford Road, A20 Sandling Road, Sandling Road, Cuckoo Lane, The Street and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Wear Bay Crescent, Folkestone, CT19 6BN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Wear Bay Crescent, Folkestone, on or after 30th September 2024 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions of Wear Bay Road and Segrave Road, between the hours of 23:00 and 06:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Wear Bay Road, Foreland Avenue, Warren Road, Wear Bay Crescent and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Wingate Road, Folkestone, CT19 5QE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow drainage works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Wingate Road, Folkestone, on or after 14th October 2024 for up to 13 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions of Walton Gardens and Dolphins Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Walton Gardens, Downs Road, Dolphins Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
