Notice of Definitive Map Modification Order Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 - Section 53
The Definitive Map and Statement for the Former North Cornwall District Area
THE CORNWALL COUNCIL (ADDITION OF A BRIDLEWAY AT HENDRA DOWNS IN THE PARISH OF ALTARNUN) MODIFICATION ORDER 2024
On 10th September 2024, Cornwall Council confirmed the above order made under section 53[(2)(b)] of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981.
The effect of the order as confirmed is to modify the definitive map and statement for the area by:
Adding a length of Public Bridleway in the Parish of Altarnun commencing at existing Public Bridleway Number 33 Altarnun approximately 272 metres north-north-east of ‘Higher Cannaframe’, at Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OSGR) SX 1983/7831 then running in a generally north-westerly, then north-easterly, then north-westerly, then northerly then north-westerly direction for a distance of 1709 metres to its junction with Public Bridleway Number 32 Altarnun approximately 832 metres north-north-west of ‘ West Trezelland’ at OSGR SX 1888/7955.

and may also be viewed at Launceston Library and Information Service, Bounsalls Lane, Launceston, PL15 9AB on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays between 9.30 and 5.00 pm and Saturdays between 10.00am and 1.00pm. A copy may also be viewed at the Offices of Cornwall Council at New County Hall, Treyew Road, Truro, TR1 3AY from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm on Mondays to Fridays (Bank Holidays excepted). Copies of the order and map may also be requested by email from DMMOOrders@cornwall.gov.uk or by telephoning 0300 1234 202.
The order comes into force on the day that it is confirmed but if any person aggrieved by the order wants to question its validity on the ground that that it is not within the powers of Section 53 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, or on the ground that any requirement of Schedule 15 of the Act has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may under paragraph 12 (1) of Schedule 15 to the Act within six weeks from [25th September 2024], make application to the High Court.
