Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
THANET AREA
A28 Canterbury Road & Queens Road, Westgate (PROHIBITION OF RIGHT TURN) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of A28 Canterbury Road & Queens Road, Westgate, on or after 2nd October 2024 for up to 16 days or until the works have been completed.
A prohibition of right turn will be imposed for Westbound traffic only, on part of A28 Canterbury Road at the junction of Queens Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
A prohibition of right turn will be imposed for Southbound traffic only, on part of Queens Road at the junction of A28 Canterbury Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Queens Road, Essex Road, The Grove, A28 Canterbury Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
B2051 Palm Bay Avenue, Margate, CT9 2JJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B2051 Palm Bay Avenue, Margate, on or after 14th October 2024 for up to 19 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from Bethesda Medical Centre to Palm Bay Gardens, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2051 Palm Bay Avenue, B2051 Princess Margaret Avenue, B2051 Northdown Road, Northdown Road, B2055 Zion Place, B2051 Cliff Terrace, B2051 Ethelbert Terrace, B2051 Ethelbert Crescent, B2051 Queens Parade, B2051 Eastern Esplanade and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
B2052 High Street, Broadstairs, CT10 1JQ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow utility works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B2052 High Street, Broadstairs, on or after 6th October 2024 for up to 10 hours or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Pilgrims Hospices, between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via A255 Queens Road, A255 Ramsgate Road, Bromstone Road, Fairfield Road, A255 Broadstairs Road, St Peters Road, Sowell Street, B2053 Albion Road, B2053 Church Street, B2053 Beacon Road, Grange Road, Callis Court Road, Lanthorne Road, B2052 Stone Road, B2052 Nelson Place, B2052 Albion Street, B2052 High Street and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
B2052 High Street, Broadstairs, CT10 1JQ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B2052 High Street, Broadstairs, on or after 14th October 2024 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 50, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via A255 Queens Road, York Avenue, Belvedere Road and B2052 High Street.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Chatham Street, Ramsgate, CT11 7PZ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Chatham Street, Ramsgate, on or after 15th October 2024 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions of Chatham Place and Eagle Hill, between the hours of 19:00 and 06:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Chatham Street, High Street, A255 Park Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Cottage Road, Ramsgate, CT11 8LU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow gas works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Cottage Road, Ramsgate, on or after 2nd October 2024 for up to 8 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from number 1 to number 21, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Cottage Road, B2054 Wellington Crescent, Albion Place, Abbots Hill and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Elmwood Avenue, Broadstairs (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow utility works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Elmwood Avenue, Broadstairs, on or after 30th September 2024 for up to 82 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions of Reading Street and B2052 North Foreland Hill, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Elmwood Avenue, B2052 North Foreland Hill, B2052 North Foreland Road, Lanthorne Road, Callis Court Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Leslie Avenue, Margate, CT9 5NE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Leslie Avenue, Margate, on or after 14th October 2024 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 25 to the junction of Brooke Avenue, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Brooke Avenue, Birds Avenue, Leslie Avenue and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Paragon Street, Ramsgate, CT11 9JL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Paragon Street, Ramsgate, on or after 14th October 2024 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 5, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Addington Street, The Broadway, West Cliff Road, B2054 Grange Road, B2054 St Augustines Road, B2054 Paragon, Paragon Place and Paragon Street.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Queen Berthas Avenue, Birchington, CT7 9BG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Queen Berthas Avenue, Birchington, on or after 1st October 2024 for up to 17 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the junction with A28 Canterbury Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Queen Berthas Avenue, A28 Canterbury Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Southwood Road, Ramsgate, CT11 0BF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Southwood Road, Ramsgate, on or after 14th October 2024 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 128, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Ashburnham Road, A255 High Street, Ellington Place, Grange Road, Southwood Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Shottendane Road, Birchington, CT7 0HR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Shottendane Road, Birchington, on or after 30th September 2024 for up to 7 hours or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction of B2050 Manston Road to Birchington Vale Holiday Park, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Shottendane Road, Minster Road, A28 Canterbury Road, A28 The Square, B2050 Park Lane, B2050 Manston Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
