What is happening?
BRACKNELL FOREST BOROUGH COUNCIL
(DOWNMILL ROAD, BRACKNELL) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2024
Notice is hereby given that Bracknell Forest Borough Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order, in accordance with Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along:
a) Downmill Road, Bracknell. The alternative route for vehicles affected by section (a) of this Order will be via Longshot Lane, Western Road, Downmill Road and this route reversed.
The purpose of this Order is to ensure public & worker safety while Harmonix Construction Ltd, complete S278 resurfacing works in the carriageway.
The proposed Order will come into operation on the 31st October 2024, and its maximum duration will be 6 months. However, it is currently planned that the road closure will be in place from the 31st October 2024 - 01st November 2024.
This Order shall only apply when the appropriate signs and markings are displayed in the road.
