Broomfield (D4000) Guildford Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 18 September 2024 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Broomfield (D4000) Guildford which extends from its junction with Pond Meadow (D4000) to its junction with Cabell Road (D4000).
Alternative Route – Broomfield (D4000), Pond Meadow (D4000), Stoney Brook (D4000), Cabell Road (D4000) and Broomfield (D4000) or the same route in reverse.
This Order is required to allow BT Openreach to carry out telecom works, which is anticipated to be completed within 1 day, between 8:30am and 3:30pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 23 September 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency vehicles, residents, pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. All other vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route.
Coombelands Lane (D3095) Addlestone Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 18 September 2024 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) Coombelands Lane (D3095) Addlestone which extends from its junction with Franklands Drive (D3095) to the southeastern property boundary line of “2 Redwoods”; (b) Suspend “The Surrey County Council Coombelands Lane (D3095) Addlestone Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023” in its entirety; and (c) Suspend “The Surrey County Council Coombelands Lane (D3095) Addlestone Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (2) 2023” in its entirety.
Alternative Route – No diversion route available.
This Order is required to allow BT Openreach to carry out telecom works, which is anticipated to be completed within 3 days, between 8:00am and 6:00pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 23 September 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency vehicles, residents, pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times.
D3883 Brooklands Lane, Weybridge Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 18 September 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of D3883 Brooklands Lane, Weybridge that extends from the western side of its junction with the access road for “Weybridge Cemetery”, south-westwards for a distance of 100m. This Traffic Order is required to enable Affinity Water to carry out water works. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 9:30am and 4pm within 2 days of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 24 September 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure which is anticipated to be required for 24 hours each day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. There is no applicable alternative route however access for emergency vehicles, residents, businesses, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times by means of road plates.
D3889 Pine Grove, Weybridge Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 18 September 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of D3889 Pine Grove, Weybridge that extends from the eastern side of its junction with D3889 Dresden Way, to the western side of its junction with D3890 Daneswood Close. This Traffic Order is required to enable Southern Gas Networks to carry out essential gas works. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 8am and 4pm, within 7 days of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 24 September 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure which is anticipated to be required for 24 hours each day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and, dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times. Access for emergency vehicles, residents and businesses will be maintained at all times via the alternative route: - Pine Grove, Princes Road, Hanger Hill and Pine Grove.
A246 York Road, Guildford Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 18 September 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of A246 York Road, Guildford. This Traffic Order is required to enable carriageway reinstatement and/or connection and/or maintenance works on behalf of Thames Water in A246 York Road from the western side of its junction with Station Approach for 30m westwards. These works are anticipated to be carried out within 2 days of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 27 September 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure which is anticipated to be required for 24 hours each day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and, dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times. Access for emergency vehicles, residents and businesses will be maintained at all times via the alternative route: – York Road, Woodbridge Road, Ladymead, Parkway and London Road.
The Street (C119) Tongham Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.1) 2024
On 18 September 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; a) The Street (C119) Tongham as extends from its junction with (C19) Poyle Road to its junction with (X119) New Road; and (b) Suspend “The Surrey County Council The Street (C119) Tongham and Oxenden Road (C119) Tongham Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023” insofar as it affects the length of road specified in part (a) of this Notice. Alternative Route: The Street, Oxenden Road, (A331) Blackwater Valley Road, (A31) Runfold Diversion, and The Street, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate replacement telegraph pole works for, or on behalf of BT Openreach. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 2 days, between 9am and 5pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 03 October 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.
Station Road (B3379) Esher Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 18 September 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Station Road (B3379) Esher as extends from its junction with (D6899) Lower Green Road to its junction with (A307) Portsmouth Road. Alternative Route: (1) (A307) Portsmouth Road, (A309) Scilly Isles Roundabout, (A309) Hampton Court Way, (B364) Embercourt Road, and (B3379) Ember Lane, or this route in reverse; (2) (A307) Portsmouth Road, (A307) High Street, Portsmouth Road, (A309) Scilly Isles Roundabout, (A309) Hampton Court Way, (B364) Embercourt Road, and (B3379) Ember Lane, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate utility works for, or on behalf of Surrey County Council. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 12 days, between the hours of 8am and 5pm, Monday to Friday only, within the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 30 September 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. Due to the nature of the works, it will not be possible to maintain vehicular access through the closure, and all vehicular traffic, including the emergency services will be required to use the signed diversion route. No sole access will be affected by this closure.
Various Roads in Guildford Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.9) 2024
On 18 September 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the lengths of roads specified and described in the Schedule to this Notice. This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate footway slurry and/or major maintenance works which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 23 September 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so and if necessary via the signed diversion route.
Schedule
1. the entire length of D4023 Little Street, Guildford. There is no diversion route available for this closure;
2. the entire length of D4025 Oak Tree Drive, Guidlford. Alternative Route – D4025 Hazel Avenue;
3. that length of D4010 Horseshoe Lane East, Guildford which extends between its junction with A25 Epsom Road and its junction with Grasmere Close. Alternative Route – D4010 Horseshoe Lane East, D4010 Horseshoe Lane West and A25 Epsom Road.
Townpath from Harts Gardens to Worplesdon Road (T7039) Guildford Public Footpath No.1 (Guildford) Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 18 September 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit pedestrians and/or other traffic proceeding on foot or by any means from entering or proceeding in that length of Townpath from Harts Gardens to Worplesdon Road (T7039) Guildford, otherwise known as Public Footpath No.1 (Guildford), which extends from its junction with Grange Road westwards to its junction with the un-named path leading to D4023 Little Street. This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate footway slurry works which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 6 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 23 September 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. No sole means of access to any premises will be affected. Pedestrians can use the path linking Little Street and T7039 whilst the works are taking place.
D5411 Warren Road, Farncombe and D674 Barnett Close, Wonersh Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 18 September 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the lengths of roads specified and described in the Schedule to this Notice. This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate footway slurry and/or major maintenance works which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 23 September 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so and if necessary via the signed diversion route.

Alexandra Road (D3092) Addlestone Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Alexandra Road (D3092) Addlestone as extends from its junction with (D3092) Shakespeare Road to a point in line with the common boundary between No.78 and No.80 Alexandra Road. This Order is required to facilitate repair or replacement sewer pipe works for, or on behalf of Thames Water. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 12 days, between the hours of 8am and 5pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 14 October 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists. There is no alternative route for this closure.
Hanworth Lane (D3020) Chertsey Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Management Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily; (a) prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Hanworth Lane (D3020) Chertsey; and (b) prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading and unloading at any time on both sides of that length of Hanworth Lane (D3020) Chertsey as extends from its junction with (D3020) Pretoria Road to a point in line with the common boundary between No.12 and No.12a Hanworth Road. This Order is required to facilitate new electrical connection works for, or on behalf of SOS Electricals & Services Ltd. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 3 days, between the hours of 8am and 4pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 18 October 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. For sub-paragraph (a) above: Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, via road plates if required, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists. Road plates will also be added out of hours. For sub-paragraphs (b) above: Exemptions apply for vehicles when waiting because they are required by law to stop, are obliged to stop in order to prevent an accident or are prevented from proceeding because of circumstances outside the drivers control and in respect of anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or of a civil enforcement officer will apply when the temporary restrictions are in force. (N.B. Disabled persons displaying a disabled blue badge will not be exempt from the temporary waiting restriction).
Staines Bridge (A308) Staines-Upon-Thames Temporary (Suspension) Order (No.2) 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to; (a) Suspend “The Surrey County Council A308 Staines Bridge, Staines Upon Thames Temporary (Suspension) Order 2024” in its entirety; (b) Suspend “Schedule 1” of “The Spelthorne Borough Council (Staines Bridge and Church Street, Staines)(Prohibition of Heavy Commercial Vehicles) Order 1987”, insofar as it relates to the entire length of Staines Bridge (A308) Staines-Upon-Thames. This Order is required to enable Chevron Traffic management and or Connect Plus Services to facilitate road markings on National Highways Network. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 night, between the hours of 10pm and 5.30am, within the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 15 October 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary suspension of the Order will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed and to the extent indicated by those signs.
Farncombe Street (D98) Godalming Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.3) 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of (a) Farncombe Street (D98) Godalming that is crossed by the Portsmouth Direct Line Level-Crossing and for a distance of 20 metres on each side; and (b) Suspend “The Surrey County Council Farncombe Street (D98) Godalming Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2024” in its entirety. Alternative Route: Farncombe Street, Binscombe Lane, Binscombe, Green Lane, Bourne Road, Summers Road, and Farncombe Street, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate level-crossing maintenance and/or improvement works to be carried out for, or on behalf of Network Rail within the length of road described in this notice. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 48 hours, between the hours of 12.55am and 23.59pm, within the 18-month period of operation of this Temporary Traffic Order which commences on 19 October 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency service vehicles will be maintained at all times, as will pedestrians and dismounted cyclists. All other vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route. No sole access will be affected by this closure.
Station Lane (C32) Enton Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) Station Lane (C32) Enton that is crossed by the level crossing known as “Milford Level Crossing” from its junction with (D150) Rake Lane to its junction with (D169) Tuesley Lane; (b) Suspend “The Surrey County Council Station Lane (C32) Enton Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024” in its entirety. Alternative Route: Station Lane, Hambledon Road, Rock Hill, Malthouse Lane, Lane End, (A283) Petworth Road, (A283) Cherry Tree Roundabout, (A286) Church Road, and Station Lane, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate upgrades to CCTV/Rail works and/or railway maintenance works to be carried out by, or on behalf of Network Rail within the length of road described in this notice. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 4 nights, between the hours of 10pm and 6am, within the 18-month period of operation of this Temporary Traffic Order which commences on 18 October 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for residents, pedestrians, and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. All other vehicular traffic, including emergency service vehicles will be required to use the diversion route.
Old Lane (C43) Cobham Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Old Lane (C43) Cobham. Alternative Route: (1) Horsley Road, Downside Road, Downside Bridge Road, (A245) Between Streets, (A245) Portsmouth Road, and (A3) Portsmouth Road: (2) (A3) Portsmouth Road, (B2039) Portsmouth Road, (A3) Portsmouth Road, (A245) Portsmouth Road, (A245) Between Streets, Downside Bridge Road, Downside Road, and Horsley Road. This Order is required to facilitate carriageway surface dressing/ pre-patching works for, or on behalf of Surrey County Council. These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible, within the 18-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 14 October 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed; and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times, as will access for emergency service vehicles in an emergency situation only. Vehicular access for residents and businesses will be maintained only when safe to do so, if necessary, via the diversion route.
Farnham Road (B3001) and Milford Road (B3001) Elstead Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) Farnham Road (B3001) Elstead as extends from its junction with (D89) Fulbrook Lane to its junction with (B3001) Milford Road; and (b) the entire length of Milford Road (B3001) Elstead. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times, as will access for emergency service vehicles in an emergency situation only. Beech Avenue (C43) Effingham Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Beech Avenue (C43) Effingham which extends from its junction with Beech Close (D883) to its junction with High Barn Road (D268). The effect of this Order will be suspended “The Surrey County Council Beech Avenue (C43) Effingham Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024” from its junction with Guildford Road (A246) to its junction with Beech Close (D883).
Alternative Route – Guildford Road (A246), Young Street (A246), Mickleham By-Pass (A24), Ashcombe Road (A2003), Ranmore Road (C44), Ranmore Common Road (C44), Critten Lane (C43) and Beech Avenue (C43) or the same route in reverse.
This Order is required to allow BT Openreach to carry out telecom works, which is anticipated to be completed within 1 day, between 9:30am and 3:30pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 09 October 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency vehicles, residents, pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times.
A248 Kings Road and D208 Kings Road, Shalford Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire lengths of A248 Kings Road and D208 Kings Road, Shalford. This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate footway slurry works and/or major maintenance works which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 4 October 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. D5404 Shackstead Lane, Godalming Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of D5404 Shackstead Lane, Godalming. This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to carriageway patching works and/or major maintenance works which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 9 October 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so and if necessary via the signed diversion route. Alternative Route – A3100 Ockford Road, D169 Holloway Hill and D169 Tuesley Lane.
