What is happening?

ABERDEENSHIRE COUNCIL

DISABLED STREET PARKING –  FORMARTINE AREA

“The Aberdeenshire Council (Disabled Street Parking – Formartine) Order, 2024” is being proposed in accordance with the Disabled Persons’ Parking Places (Scotland) Act 2009 and the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984.

The order will cover all the on-street disabled residents’ spaces in the area as required by the Disabled Persons’ Parking Places (Scotland) Act 2009 and indicated in the Schedule below. The effect of the order will be to make it an offence for anyone to park in the marked disabled person’s spaces unless they are the holder of a valid blue badge and are using it in accordance with the terms of the national blue badge legislation.

Full details of the proposal are in the draft order which, together with a statement of the Council’s reasons for proposing to make the order, may be examined online via www.aberdeenshire.gov.uk/roads-and-travel/roads/traffic-management/traffic-measures/  Any queries should be directed to Anne Buchan on 0345 608 1205. Anyone wishing to object should send details of the grounds for objection in writing to the undersigned or via the above website from 20 September 2024 until 11 October 2024. Objections should state the name and address of the objector, the matters to which they relate and the grounds on which they are made.
