What is happening?

20 Mph Speed Limit, C198, Main Street, Kirby Misperton, Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that The North Yorkshire Council proposes to make an Order under Sections 84(1) & (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 & Part IV of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act, the effect of which will be to prohibit any motor vehicle from travelling at a speed in excess of 20 mph on any length of road specified:-
C198, Main Street, from its junction with Kirby Misperton Road to its junction with Habton Road. A copy of the draft Order, together with a map showing the roads affected & a statement of the Council's reasons for proposing to make the Order may be inspected at County Hall, Northallerton & at Pickering Library, The Ropery, Pickering YO18 8DY during normal office hours from 18/09/24 until 09/10/24 & also viewed online at www.northyorks.gov.uk/roadworks-map or www.northyorks.gov.uk/traffic-regulation-orders. If you wish to object to the proposed Order, you should send the grounds for your objection, in writing, addressed to Area 4 Kirby Misperton Highways Office, Beansheaf Industrial Park, Tofts Road, Kirby Misperton, Malton, North Yorkshire YO17 6BG or email Area4.Kirbymisperton@northyorks.gov.uk or via the website link above by 09/10/24.
30 Mph Speed Limit, Various Roads, Gilling East Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that on 13/09/24 The North Yorkshire Council made an Order under Sections 84(1) & (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 & Part IV of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act, the effect of which is to prohibit any motor vehicle from travelling at a speed in excess of 30 mph on any length of road specified.
B1363, Station Road, from its junction with Pottergate in a generally Northerly direction for 351 metres.
B1363, Main Street, its entire length.
B1363, Burnt Gill, from its junction with Main Street in a Southeasterly direction for 42 metres. U636, Pottergate, its entire length.
U636, Park Farm Road, from its junction with Pottergate in a Westerly direction for 14 metres. U122, Cawton Road, its entire length.
U122, Gilling East to Cawton, from its junction with Cawton Road in an Easterly direction for 29 metres.
U637, Church Lane, its entire length.
A copy of the Order, which comes into operation on 23/09/24, may be examined at County Hall, Northallerton & at Helmsley Community Library, Town Hall, Helmsley YO62 5BL during normal office hours from 18/09/24 until 25/10/24 & also viewed online at
www.northyorks.gov.uk/roadworks-map or www.northyorks.gov.uk/traffic-regulation-orders. If you wish to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained in it, on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act, or of any Instrument made under it, has not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may, within 6 weeks of 13/09/24 make application to the High Court for the purpose.
Temporary One-Way Traffic, Norton Road, Norton, Order 2024 No 123
North Yorkshire Council has extended this Order to continue in force until 31/10/25, which is to prohibit any vehicle from travelling in an easterly direction on Norton Road, Norton, due to works. The closure period will only apply as indicated by the placing of traffic signs & a local alternative route will also be signed on site where appropriate. Notice is hereby given that The North Yorkshire Council proposes to make an Order under Sections 84(1) & (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 & Part IV of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act, the effect of which will be to prohibit any motor vehicle from travelling at a speed in excess of 30 mph on the lengths of road at Scampston specified:-
U1759/2/30, Town Street, Scampston, from a point 96 metres south of its junction with Outgang Road to its junction with Back Lane.
U1759/2/50, Outgang Road, Scampston, from its junction with Town Street for a distance of 412 metres in a North Westerly direction.
U1760/2/30, Back Lane, Scampston, from junction with Town Street North East for a distance of 130 metres.
