THE A64 TRUNK ROAD (BRAMHAM CROSSROADS TO TADCASTER BAR)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited has made an Order on the A64 Trunk Road and the A1(M) Motorway, in the County of North Yorkshire, in the District of Selby, to enable carriageway resurfacing, road markings, studs, traffic loops and routine maintenance works to be carried out in safety.
The works are expected to start at 6am on Saturday 21 September 2024 for 2 days, or until completed. However, if necessary, the works will continue between the same times over subsequent Saturday and Sunday until the works are completed.
The effect of the Order will be to close, between 6am and 8pm, at times during the works, the:
(i) A64 eastbound carriageway from its junction with Bramham Roundabout to the entry slip road at Tadcaster Bar, a distance of 8350 metres;
(ii) A64 eastbound exit slip road at A659 Headley Bar;
(iii) A64 eastbound entry slip road at A162 Tadcaster Ings;
(iv) the laybys adjacent to the A64 eastbound carriageway as described in (i): and
(v) link road connecting the A1(M) northbound carriageway with the A64 eastbound carriageway at Bramham Crossroads (A1(M) Junction 44).
During which times suitably signed alternative routes will be available.
Traffic signs will indicate the extent of the prohibitions (which will not apply to emergency service vehicles or vehicles being used in connection with the said works or for winter maintenance). The Order comes into force on 20 September 2024 and has a maximum duration of eighteen months.
