Brent, Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic Due To Constructions Works

What is happening?

LONDON BOROUGH OF BRENT ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14M1 (as amended) CHURCH ROAD AND HIGH ROAD (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 202*

The Council of the London Borough of Brent hereby give notice that, to facilitate a construction and associated works in Church Road and High Road, they intend to make an Order the effect of which would be to prohibit:-

(a) vehicles from entering, proceeding, waiting, loading or unloading in that length of:-

(i) Eric Road, which lies between the north-western kerb-line of Church Road and it's north-western extremity;

(ii) Preston Gardens, which lies between the north-western kerb-line of Church Road and it's north-western extremity;

(b) pedestrians from entering or proceeding in the length of:-

(i) the north-western footway of Church Road, which lies between the north-eastern kerb-line of Eric Road and a point 30.00 metres northeast of that point;

(ii) the north-western footway of Church Road, which lies between the south-eastern kerb-line of Church Road and a point 50.00 metres south-west of that point;

(iii) the south-eastern footway of High Road, which lies between the north-western kerb-line of Church Road and a point 230.00 metres south-west of that point;

(c) bicycles from entering or proceeding in that length of cycle lane on High Road, which lies between the north-western kerb-line of Church Road and a point 230.00 metres south-west of that point;

when and where appropriate traffic signs are being displayed. The prohibitions referred to in (a) to (c) above would apply from 7th October 2024 to 2nd March 2026 inclusive, or until the said works are completed, whichever is the earlier.

Access to premises in or adjacent to Church Road Eric Road, High Road and Preston Gardens would be maintained insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference with the said works. Vehicular traffic affected by the prohibitions referred to in (a) above should proceed as indicated by traffic signs.

Pedestrians affected by the prohibitions referred to in (b) above should proceed as indicated by traffic signs.

Cyclists affected by the prohibitions referred to in (c) above should proceed as indicated by traffic signs.
