THE LEICESTER (20 M.P.H. SPEED LIMIT) (BRAUNSTONE COMMUNITY PRIMARY SCHOOL) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Leicester City Council has made an Order under Sections 84(1) and 84(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of this Order is to prohibit any motor vehicle from travelling at a speed exceeding 20 miles per hour along the length of road as set out below:

Avery Hill - Whole Length
Bendbow Rise - Whole Length
Butterfield Close - Whole Length
Cantrell Road - Whole Length
Conkers Close - Whole Length
Corfield Rise - Whole Length
Cort Crescent - From 14m north of Hockey Farm Road to 30m south of Gallards Hill (southern arm)
Cowdall Road - Whole Length
Didsbury Street - Whole Length
Edale Close - Whole Length
Gallards Hill - Whole Length
Gunthorpe Road - Whole Length
Hand Avenue - Whole Length
Hand Close - Whole Length
Heyford Road - Whole Length
Hockley Farm Road - Whole Length

Hollins Road - Whole Length
Limber Crescent - Whole Length
Linacres Road - Whole Length
Meadwell Road - Whole Length
Morcote Road - Whole Length
Pilkington Road - Whole Length
Pollard Road - Whole Length
Raven Road - Whole Length
Thornton Close - Whole Length
Webster Road - Whole Length
Wellinger Way - Whole Length
Wilmore Crescent - Whole Length
Winforde Crescent - Whole Length
Woodshawe Rise - Whole Length
Worrall Close - Whole Length

No speed limit imposed by this Order applies to vehicles falling within regulation 3(4) of the Road Traffic Exemptions (Special Forces) (Variation and Amendment) Regulations 2011 when used in accordance with regulation 3(5) of those Regulations.

A further effect of this Order is to revoke The Leicester Traffic Regulation (20mph Speed Limit) (Braunstone Six Streets Area) Order 2003, and The Leicester Traffic Regulation (20mph Speed Limit) (North Braunstone West Area) Order 2006.

A COPY of the Order, the relevant plan, and the Council’s statement of reasons for making the Order may be seen by calling 0116 454 1001 or 0116 454 4866 and requesting paper copies to be sent out via post.

This order will come into force on Monday 23rd September 2024.
