Various in Guildford Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.10) 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate surface dressing works, pre-patching works, patching works and/or major maintenance works which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 9 October 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so and if necessary via the signed diversion route.

2.the entire length of D80 Ash Green Lane East, Normandy. There is no alternative route possible for this road closure;

3.the entire length of D4013 Merrow Lane, Merrow. Alternative Route – D4013 London Road, D4013 Great Oaks Road, A3100 London Road and B2234 New Inn Lane;

4.the entire lengths of D898 Hutton Road and D898 Prospect Road, Ash Vale. Alternative Route – D76 Wharf Road, B3411 Vale Road and D898 Heathvale Bridge Road;

5.(a) the entire length of D66 Wyke Lane, Ash; and (b) that length of D67 Harpers Road, Ash which extends from its junction with Pound Farm Lane, westwards for a distance of 10m. Alternative Route – D67 Harpers Road and A323 Guildford Road;

6.the entire length of D44 Queens Road, Brookwood. Alternative Route – D44 Bisley Camp Road, A324 Connaught Road, A322 Bagshot Road, A322 Guildford Road, D31 Queens Road and X44 Queens Road (MoD);

7.the entire length of D234 Woodhill, Send. Alternative Route – D234 Vicarage Lane, D233 Potters Lane, D232 Send Hill and A247 Send Barns Lane;

8.that length of C23 Littleworth Road/C23 Cuttmill Road/C23 Lombard Street, Shackleford which extends from its junction with The Street to its junction with Smugglers Way. Alternative Route – C23 The Street, C23 Grenville Road, C25 Elstead Road, C25 Shackleford Road, B3001 Milford Road, B3001 Farnham Road, C22 Camp Hill and C22 Botany Hill;

9.that length of A248 Broadford Road, Shalford which extends from its junction with Horsham Road to its junction with Old Portsmouth Road. Alternative Route eastbound – A3100 Old Portsmouth Road, A3100 Park Street, One way system (A31 Farnham Road, A322 Bridge Road, A322 Onslow Street), A281 Millbrook, A281 Quarry Street, A281 Shalford Road, A281 The Street and A281 Horsham Road. 12.that length of C43 Effingham Common Road, Effingham which extends from its junction with Forest Road to its junction with Orestan Lane. Alternative Route – C42 Forest Road, B2039 Ockham Road South, A246 Guildford Road and C43 The Street.
