What is happening?

COLLEGE COURT ROAD, PONDERS END - INTRODUCTION OF AN AMBULANCE BAY AND A DISABLED PARKING PLACE.

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Enfield (the Council) propose to make The Enfield (Prohibition of Waiting on Ambulance Bays) (Amendment No.*) Order 2024, and The Enfield (Free Parking Places) (Disabled Persons) (No. *) 2024, under sections 6 and 124 of and Part IV o1 Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

2. The general effect of the Orders would be to:

(a) provide an ambulance bay adjacent to Hughes Court in the recessed parking area on the northern kerb-line of College Court Road from a point 18.5m east of eastern kerb-line of Beryl Street to a point 9m east of that point. All vehicles, except ambulances and dial-a-ride vehicles, would be prohibited from waiting (other than for loading or unloading) At any time' Monday to Sunday inclusive; and

(b) introduce a disabled persons parking place to operate 'At any time' with a maximum stay of 2 hours adjacent to Hughes Court in the recessed parking area on the northern kerb-line of College Court Road from a point 10.5m east of eastern kerb-line of Beryl Street to a point 8m east of that point.

3. Copies of the proposed Orders, Notice, plans and of the Council's statement of reasons for proposing to make the Orders can be inspected at the Town Library, 66 Church Street, Enfield EN2 6AX, Monday to Fridays 9am - 5pm inclusive. 4. Any person desiring to object or make any other representations to the proposed Orders should send a statement in writing to that effect, and in the case of an objection stating the grounds thereof, to the Head of Traffic and Transportation, the Civic Centre, Silver Street, Enfield, Middlesex, EN1 3XD, quoting the reference TG1573, by 9th October 2024. or by e-mail to traffic@enfield.gov.uk.
