What is happening?

WALSALL METROPOLITAN BOROUGH 

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT, 1984 – SECTION 14(1) AS AMENDED BY THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT, 1991 WOLVERHAMPTON STREET & TOWNEND STREET, WALSALL (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024 

Notice is hereby given that Walsall Metropolitan Borough Council intends, not less than 7 days from the date of this notice, to make an Order the effect of which will be to prevent any vehicle from proceeding in that length of: • 

WOLVERHAMPTON STREET, WALSALL, that is situated from its junction with Gallery Square to its junction with the roundabout leading to the Crown Wharf Shopping Park. (29 September 2024 - 14 October 2024) • 

TOWNEND STREET, WALSALL, that is situated from its junction with Gallery Square to its junction with Green Lane. (29 September 2024 - 14 October 2024) 

Reason for Order: Public realm and pedestrian crossing improvements. Works on behalf of: Walsall Council This Order will come into operation on Sunday 29 September 2024. It is anticipated that the work will be completed as close as possible to the dates above. Signed diversion routes (viewable on the website one. network) will be in operation for affected traffic. The Order will remain in force for a period of up to eighteen months or until the work is completed, whichever is the earlier.
