What is happening?
HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL:
(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN APPLEBY STREET, CHESHUNT) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Appleby Street, Cheshunt from its junction with Holbeck Lane north eastwards and south eastwards to its junction with Park Lane, a distance of approximately 500m (“the Road”), except for access.
An alternative route will be via Holbeck Lane, Longfield Lane and Park Lane.
ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of the Road whilst works are in progress.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 10 October 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF HUNSDONBURY LANE, HUNSDON) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Hunsdonbury Lane, Hunsdon from a point 160m south east of its junction with B180 Stanstead Road north eastwards for a distance of approximately 30m (“the Road”).
An alternative route will be via Hunsdonbury Lane, B180 (Stanstead Road/High Street), Acorn Street and Hunsdonbury Lane.
The Order is needed because electrical repair works are proposed to be executed near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 10 October 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN BELL LANE, HERTFORD) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Bell Lane, Hertford from its junction with Fore Street south eastwards for its entire length (“the Road”), except for access.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on the west side of this length of road whilst works are in progress.
The Order is needed because gas service connection works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 7 October 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF GREEN END, DANE END) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Green End, Dane End from its junction with Church Lane north westwards for a distance of approximately 664m (“the Road”).
An alternative route will be via Church Lane, Munden Road, Whempstead Lane, Green End Lane and Green End.
The Order is needed because the replacement of an existing utility pole is proposed to be executed near the Road.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 20 September 2024 for a period of up to 18 months.
However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF VARIOUS ROADS IN HERTFORD AND BAYFORD) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access:-
1. that length of Horns Close, Hertford from its junction with Pearson Avenue north eastwards for its entire length.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
2. that length of Ashendene Road, Bayford from its junction with White Stubbs Lane north eastwards to its junction with Well Row, a distance of approximately 1664m.
An alternative route will be via White Stubbs Lane, Pembridge Lane, Brickendon Green and Ashendene Road.
3. that length of Bayford Close, Hertford from its junction with Pearson Avenue north westwards and north eastwards for its entire length, a distance of approximately 125m.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
4. that length of Chandlers Way, Hertford from its southernmost junction with Alexander Road south eastwards, north eastwards, north westwards and north eastwards for a distance of approximately 209m.
An alternative route will be via Alexander Road and Chandlers Way.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 23 September 2024 for a period of up to 18 months.
However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF ORCHARD ROAD, TEWIN) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Orchard Road, Tewin from its junction with Harmer Green Lane south eastwards to its junction with Upper Green, a distance of approximately 1078m (“the Road”), except for access.
An alternative route will be via Harmer Green Lane, New Road, Harmer Green Lane, Hertford Road, B1000 Hertford Road, Churchfield Road, School Lane, Lower Green, Upper Green Road and Upper Green.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 26 September 2024 for a period of up to 18 months.
However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF FOLDINGSHOTT, DATCHWORTH) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Foldingshott, Datchworth from its junction with Bury Lane north eastwards for a distance of approximately 65m (“the Road”), except for access.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 23 September 2024 for a period of up to 18 months.
However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.
