The East Sussex (U5147 Albion Street, Lewes)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
To allow BT Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Albion Street – from the junction with A277 High Street to the junction with A2029 East Street.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via A277 High Street – A2029 Market Street, North Street, Little East Street, Eastgate Street, East Street.
The Order commences 25 September 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 25 and 27 September 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (C496 Bell Lane, Splaynes Green, Fletching)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
To allow ESP Electricity Limited to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1) (b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Bell Lane – from the junction with C206 North Hall Lane to the junction with C496 Witches Lane.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C206 North Hall Lane – C496 Witches Lane and vice versa.
The Order commences 23 September 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 23 September and 4 October 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (C483 Burnt Oak Road, Crowborough) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
To allow South East Water to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Burnt Oak Road – from the junction with C483 Fordbrook Hill to the junction with U7487 Stone Cross Road.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C483 Alice Bright Lane – C11 Fermor Road, Walshes Road, Hadlow Down Road – C483 Fordbrook Hill and vice versa.
The Order commences 23 September 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 23 and 25 September 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (C12 Sham Farm Road, Eridge Green) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023
To allow BT Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Sham Farm Road – from the junction with U7543 Danegate to the junction with A26 Eridge Road.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C12 Blackdon Hill – C407 Cowford Bridge Lane, Town Row Green, Spout Hill – B2100 Catts Hill – A267 Tunbridge Wells Road, Mayfield Road, Frant Green Road, Frant Road – C70 Bunny Lane – A26 Eridge Road and vice versa.
The Order commenced 21 September 2023 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 23 September 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U5653 Cornwells Bank & U5655 Ridgelands Lane, Newick) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
To allow BT Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following lengths of road;
Temporary Road Closures
Cornwells Bank – from the junction with U5655 Font Hill to the junction with P5718 Cockfield Lane.
Diversion via U5655 Font Hill – C8 Church Road – U5004 Allington Road – A272 Western Road – C651 Oxbottom Lane – U5653 Cornwells Bank and vice versa.
Ridgelands Lane – from the junction with U5653 Cornwells Bank to Ridgelands Farm.
Diversion via U5655 Ridgelands Lane – U5654 Markstakes Lane – A275 Chailey Green Road – C651 Cinder Hill – U5653 Cornwells Bank and vice versa.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with alternative routes for through traffic as set out above.
The Order commences 26 September 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 26 September 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (C411 Station Road/ Downash Road, Hailsham)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1) (b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Station Road/Downash Road – from the junction with U797 Butts Field to Swan Barn Caravan Park.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via:
1. C411 Station Road – A295 George Street, South Road – B2104 Ersham Road – C411 Saltmarsh Lane, Downash Road and vice versa; or
2. C718 Old Swan Lane, Mill Road, Market Street, Market Square – A295 George Street – C411 Station Road; or
3. C411 Station Road – A295 George Street, North Street, High Street – C718 Market Square, Market Street, Mill Road, Old Swan Lane.
The Order commences 21 September 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 21 and 27 September 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U7505 Limes Lane, Buxted) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024 No.2
To allow Lenmark Construction Ltd to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Limes Lane – from the junction with A272 Pound Green to the junction with U7505 Limes Lane.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U7505 Limes Lane – A272 High Street and vice versa.
The Order commences 7 October 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 7 and 18 October 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (C8 The Drove, Offham) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024 No.2
To allow BT Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
The Drove – from the junction with A275 The Street to the junction with U5012 Whitfeld Lane.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C8 The Drove, North End Lane, Hamsey Road – C205 Cooksbridge Road, Deadmantree Hill – A275 Cooksbridge Road, The Street and vice versa.
The Order commences 9 October 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 9 October 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

Chyngton Gardens – from the junction with U5407 The Shepway to the junction with U5416 Farm Close.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U5407 The Shepway, Chyngton Avenue – U5404 Walmer Road and vice versa.
The Order commences 9 October 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 9 and 10 October 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U5107 Lee Road, Lewes) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
To allow Southern Water to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Lee Road – from the junction with U5107 Evelyn Road to the junction with U5107 Stansfield Road.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U5107 Lee Road, Eridge Green, Landport Road, Arundel Green, Lee Road and vice versa.
The Order commences 8 October 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 8 and 11 October 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (C211/C406 Scotsford Hill/Street End Lane, Mayfield/ Heathfield)(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
To allow BT Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Scotsford Hill/Street End Lane – from the junction with C211 East Street to the junction with A265 Burwash Road.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via A265 Burwash Road, Mutton Hall Hill, Cross in Hand Road – A267 Cross In Hand Road, Mayfield Road, Heathfield Road, Mayfield Road, Wellbrook Hill, Wellbrook – C14 Stone Cross, Station Road, High Street, Fletching Street – C211 East Street and vice versa.
The Order commences 9 October 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 9 October 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (C273 Station Approach/U7351 Thorny Close, Heathfield) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following lengths of road;
Temporary Road Closures
Station Approach – from the junction with C273 Station Road to the junction with U7351 Thorny Close. Thorny Close – for its entire length.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U7591 Waldron Thorns, Leeves Way – U7602 Ghyll Road – U7369 Tilsmore Road – A265 High Street – C273 Station Road and vice versa.
The Order commences 4 October 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 4 and 11 October 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U7036 Cambridge Lane/U7037 Burnt Oak Lane, Waldron) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
To allow UKPN to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following lengths of road;
Temporary Road Closures
Cambridge Lane – from the junction with U7037 Burnt Oak Lane to Knaves Acre
Restriction is anticipated to be in place between 7 and 25 October 2024.
Burnt Oak Lane – from the junction with C329 Back Lane to the junction with U7035 Hanging Birch Lane.
Diversion via C329 Back Lane – U7034 Whitethorn Lane – U7035 Hanging Birch Lane and vice versa.
Restriction is anticipated to be in place between 14 and 25 October 2024.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible.
The Order commences 7 October 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken as detailed above depending upon the weather conditions.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic northbound via C7 Newhaven Road, Lewes Road – A259 North Way, The Drove – A26(T) New Road, Beddingham Road, Newhaven Road – A27(T) Ranscombe Hill, Lewes bypass – C324 Ashcombe Lane, Well Green Lane & southbound via C324 Well Green Lane, Ashcombe Lane – A27(T) Lewes bypass, Ranscombe Hill – A26(T) Newhaven Road, Beddingham Road, New Road – A26 New Road – A259 Drove Road, The Drove, South Way – C7 Lewes Road, Newhaven Road.
The Order commences 7 October 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken as detailed below from 20:00hrs to 04:00hrs depending upon the weather conditions.
Kingston – on 7 and 8 October 2024
Swanborough – on 9 and 10 October 2024
Iford – between 11 and 17 October 2024
Northease – between 18 and 23 October 2024
Rodmell – between 24 and 28 October 2024
