What is happening?

Temporary Closure of Main Road

Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along Main Road - from 97 metres west of the junction with Holoway Road, westwards for a total distance of 139 metres. This Order will enable Wessex Water to carry out new connection works.

The Order becomes effective on 1st October 2024 and will remain in force for eighteen months. The works are expected to commence on 7th October 2024 and last until 11th October 2024 between the hours of 00:00 - 23:59 for a total of 5 days.
