What is happening?
CAMBRIDGESHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
NOTICE is given that Cambridgeshire County Council intends after seven days, to make an Order pursuant to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, the effect of which:
Kings Delph Drove, Farcet
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024–1432
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Kings Delph Drove, Farcet as lies between Straight Road and the B1095.
The alternative route for vehicles is via B1095 – Gosling Drove – Straight Drove and vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate telecommunications and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 14 October 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 13 April 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 08:00hrs and 18:00hrs 14 October to 18 October 2024.
Peterborough Road (B1091), Farcet
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024–1476
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Peterborough Road (B1091), Farcet as lies between number 145 and Gazeley Gardens. The alternative route for vehicles is via B1091 – A605 – A1139 – A1260 – A15 – B1091 and vice versa.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate water connection and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 26 October 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 25 April 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 26 October and 27 October 2024.
A1 Intersection with the A605/A1139, Alwalton
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024–1492
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along A1 Intersection with the A605/A1139, Alwalton as lies between A1M northbound entry slip and A1M southbound exit slip; A1139 exit arm and the A1M northbound exit slip respectively.
The alternative route for vehicles is via North Deck – A1M – A1 – A1 off slip, Stibbington – New Lane – Old Great North Road – A1 on slip – A1 – A1M Non motorway traffic – A1139 – A605 – Oundle Road, Chesterton – Oundle Road, Elton – Overend – A605 Alternatively A1M Southbound on slip – A1M – A1M Southbound off slip – A15 – A1M Northbound on slip – A1M – A1M Northbound off slip.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate carriageway improvements and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 18 October 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 17 April 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 20:00hrs and 06:00hrs 18 October to 15 November 2024 (various times).
The above orders shall not apply to any persons lawfully engaged in connection with any works for which these are made, any member of the Police Force, Fire and Rescue Service, Ambulance Service, a vehicle being used by Special Forces during the execution of their duties or to any person acting with the permission or upon the direction of a Police Officer in uniform.
