What is happening?
KIRKLEES COUNCIL
(TRAFFIC REGULATION) (CONSOLIDATION ORDER PROVIDING ON-STREET PARKING PLACES, WAITING, LOADING AND STOPPING RESTRICTIONS AND MIGRATION TO A ‘MAP-BASED’ FORMAT) ORDER 2024 (AMENDMENT NO. 8) ORDER 2024
VARIOUS ROADS IN NORTH KIRKLEES
The Council of the Borough of Kirklees propose to make the above Order under their powers in the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which, as it affects lengths of road in the Dewsbury, Cleckheaton, Ravensthorpe, Rawfolds, Chickenley, Earlsheaton & Savile Town areas of the Kirklees district, will be to:
(i) Prohibit the waiting of vehicles at any time on lengths of the following roads:-
1. Halifax Road, Dewsbury
2. Station Approach, Cleckheaton
3. Railway Street, Cleckheaton
4. Regent Street, Heckmondwike 5. Union Street, Heckmondwike
6. Stubs Beck Lane, Cleckheaton
7. Dyehouse Drive, Cleckheaton
8. North Road, Ravensthorpe
9. Bradford Road, Rawfolds
10. Garden Street, Ravensthorpe
11. Howard Park, Cleckheaton
12. Syke Lane, Earlsheaton
(ii) Prohibit stopping on school entrance markings between the hours of 08:00 – 09:30 & 14:30 – 16:00 (Mondays – Fridays) on lengths of the following roads:
1. Garden Street, Ravensthorpe
2. Princess Road, Chickenley
(iii) Prohibit the waiting of vehicles between the hours of 08:00 – 09:30 & 14:30 – 16:00 (Mondays – Fridays) on a length of Garden Street, Ravensthorpe
(iv) Prohibit the waiting of vehicles between the hours of 08:30 – 09:30 & 15:00 – 16:00 (Mondays – Fridays) on a length of Garden Street, Ravensthorpe
(v) Prohibit the waiting of vehicles between the hours of 08:00 – 18:00 (Mondays – Fridays) on a length of Howard Park, Cleckheaton
(vi) Introduce a free parking place, with a maximum stay of 15 minutes (with no return within 1 hour) between the hours of 06:00 – 14:00 (Mondays – Saturdays), on a length of Mill Street East, Savile Town.
AND
(vii) Revoke items in the Kirklees Council (Traffic Regulation) (Consolidation Order Providing On-Street Parking Places, Waiting, Loading and Stopping Restrictions and Migration to a ‘Map-Based’ Format) Order 2024, which will be redundant when certain parts of the restrictions referred to above are introduced.
