What is happening?

The Nottinghamshire County Council

(Loughborough Road And Castle Hill, East Leake) (Temporary Prohibition Of Driving) Order 2024 (R24-202)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at East Leake in the Borough of Rushcliffe. The effects of the Order will be:

1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the following length of road

a. LOUGHBOROUGH ROAD, EAST LEAKE - From its junction with Rempstone Road to its junction with A6006 Melton Road

b. CASTLE HILL, EAST LEAKE - From its junction with Loughborough Road in a northerly direction for 160 metres

2. Vehicles are prohibited from Waiting, Loading and Unloading (both
sides) (at all times) in the following length of road

a. LOUGHBOROUGH ROAD, EAST LEAKE - From its junction with Rempstone Road to its junction with Castle Hill

b. CASTLE HILL, EAST LEAKE - From its junction with Loughborough Road in a northerly direction for 160 metres

3. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.

4. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.

IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows: From 07:30 Monday 30th September 2024 Until 17:30 Friday 29th November 2024 inclusive.

AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be: A6006 Melton Road - A6006 Rempstone Road- Travells Hill - Woodgate Road - Rempstone Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into force on 30th September 2024 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out.

The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months)

The prohibition is required to enable Severn Trent Water to carry out sewer installation works.
