Cambridgeshire - Multiple Temporary Road Closures and Speed Limits due to Works.

What is happening?

CAMBRIDGESHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE is given that Cambridgeshire County Council intends after seven days, to make an Order pursuant to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, the effect of which:

Croxton Road (B1040) and St Neots Road, Eltisley

(TEMPORARY 60MPH and 40MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2024-1380

Is to impose a 60mph and 40mph speed limit along Croxton Road (B1040) and St Neots Road, Eltisley as lies between the A428 and for a distance of 100m; the B1040 and for a distance of 60m respectively.

The Order will be effective, for safety purposes, when signs are in place indicating the speed limit along the whole or any part of the above mentioned length of road whilst works are in progress or temporarily suspended.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate A428 improvement and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 8 October 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 31 March 2027 whichever is the earlier

It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 8 October 2024 and 31 March 2027.

Chapel End (D140), Great Gidding

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1390

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Chapel End (D140), Great Gidding as lies between Chapel End and Mill Road.

The alternative route for vehicles is via Chapel End - B660 - Mill Road -Chapel End (D140) and vice versa.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate gully, outlet maintenance and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 31 October 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 29 April 2026 whichever is the earlier.

It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 08:00hrs and 17:00hrs 31 October 2024.

Houghton and Wyton Footpath 14, Houghton and Wyton

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE) ORDER 2024-1403

Is to stop any pedestrian from proceeding along Houghton and Wyton Footpath 14, Houghton and Wyton as lies between number 20 and 28.

The alternative route for pedestrians will be as signed.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate electrical connection and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 23 October 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 22 April 2025 whichever is the earlier.

It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 23 October and 29 October 2024.

Buckley Road, Eynesbury

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1405

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Buckley Road, Eynesbury as lies between numbers 25 and 29.

The alternative route for vehicles is via B1043 - Silver Street - Luke Street - Buckley Road and vice versa.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate water connection and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 29 October 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 28 April 2026 whichever is the earlier.

It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 29 October and 31 October 2024.

Footpath from Headlands to Leechcroft, Fenstanton

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE) ORDER 2024-1407

Is to stop any pedestrian from proceeding along Footpath from Headlands to Leechcroft, Fenstanton as lies between Headlands and 38 Dove Close.

The alternative route for pedestrians will be as signed.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate gas main replacement and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 1 October 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 31 March 2025 whichever is the earlier.

It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 1 October and 18 October 2024.

Low Road, Fenstanton

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1429

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Low Road, Fenstanton as lies between Huntingdon Road and the A1096.

The alternative route for vehicles is via A1096 - A1307 - Low Road or via A1096 - Low Road.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate drainage, gully repair, cleaning and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 21 October 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 20 April 2026 whichever is the earlier.

It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 09:30hrs and 15:30hrs 21 October to 25 October 2024.

Footpath between Ditchfield and The Green, Somersham

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE) ORDER 2024-1431

Is to stop any pedestrian from proceeding along Footpath between Ditchfield and The Green, Somersham as lies between Ditchfields and The Green.

The alternative route for pedestrians will be as signed.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate gas main replacement and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 7 October 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 6 April 2025 whichever is the earlier.

It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 7 October and 25 October 2024.

The Hollow Drove, Ramsey

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1450

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along The Hollow Drove, Ramsey as lies between The Chalet and The Hollow.

The alternative route for vehicles is via The Hollow - Puddock Road -Ramsey Forty Foot - Puddock Road, Benwick - Forty Foot Bank - Forty Foot Bank, Ramsey Forty Foot - B1096 - Ramsey Road - Hollow Road - Long Drove, Ramsey and vice versa.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate water connection and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 21 October 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 20 April 2026 whichever is the earlier.

It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 21 October and 24 October 2024.

Station Lane, Offord Cluny

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1466

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Station Lane, Offord Cluny as lies between points 20m either side of the railway level crossing situated there as measured from its gates or barriers.

The alternative route for vehicles is via B1043 - The Causeway, Godmanchester - B1044 - B1514 - A1307 - B1514 - A1 - Silver Street - Buckden - Church Street - Mill Road- Station Lane - Station Lane, Offord Cluny and vice versa.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate essential maintenance works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 20 October 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 19 April 2026 whichever is the earlier.

It is anticipated that these works will be carried out overnight between 00:01hrs and 08:00hrs 20 October 2024.

Bridge Street, Woodwalton

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1468

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Bridge Street, Woodwalton as lies between points 20m either side of the railway bridge situated there as measured from its gates or barriers.

The alternative route for vehicles is via Bridge Street - B1090 - Ramsey Road, Kings Ripton - Wistow Road - Wistow Road, Broughton - Little Raveley Road - Broughton Road, Little Raveley - Upwood Road - Raveley Road, Great Raveley - Raveley Road, Woodwalton and vice versa.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate essential maintenance works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 30 October 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 29 April 2026 whichever is the earlier.

It is anticipated that these works will be carried out overnight between 22:00hrs and 06:00hrs 30 October to 1 November 2024.

Graveley Road, Offord Darcy

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1471

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Graveley Road, Offord Darcy as lies between numbers 3a and 11.

The alternative route for vehicles is via B1043 - Toseland Road, Great Paxton - Paxton Road, Toseland - High Street - Graveley Road - Toseland Road, Graveley - Offord Road - Graveley Road, Offord Darcy and vice versa.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate telecommunications and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 10 October 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 9 April 2026 whichever is the earlier.

It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 08:00hrs and 18:00hrs 10 October 2024.

Spittals Way (A141), The Stukeleys

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) And Brampton Road (B1514),

View Common Link Road (A1307), Huntingdon

(TEMPORARY REVOCATION OF 7.5 TONNE WEIGHT LIMIT) ORDER 2024-1475

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Spittals Way (A141), The Stukeleys as lies between Spittals Interchange and Ermine Street roundabout. During the period this Order remains in force Cambridgeshire County Council (Godmanchester and Huntingdon Zone) (Prohibition of Heavy Commercial Vehicles) Order 1988 is hereby suspended.

The alternative route for vehicles is via B1044 - A1307 - B1514 - A1307 and vice versa.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate carriageway repairs and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 25 October 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 24 April 2026 whichever is the earlier.

It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 20:00hrs 25 October and 04:00hrs 26 October 2024.

VARIOUS ROADS, WEST DIVISION

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)

ORDER 2024-1494

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along various roads as set out in Schedule 1 below.

Nothing in this Order shall prevent access and egress from premises or land adjacent to the highway mentioned in Schedule 1.

The Order is necessary for safety reasons to facilitate carriageway resurfacing and associated works.

The proposed Order will come into operation on 28 October 2024 and will continue until these works have finished or on the 27 April 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that this order will apply to the locations, at various times during the dates specified in the Schedule.

ORDER 2024-1501

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along various roads as set out in Schedule 1 below.

The alternative routes are shown in Schedule 1.

The Order is necessary for safety reasons to facilitate carriageway resurfacing and associated works.

The proposed Order will come into operation on 1 October 2024 and will continue until these works have finished or on the 31 March 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that this order will apply to the locations, at various times during the dates specified in the Schedules. The Order will be effective, for safety purposes, when signs are in place indicating the speed limit along the whole or any part of the above mentioned length of road whilst works are in progress or temporarily suspended.

The above orders shall not apply to any persons lawfully engaged in connection with any works for which these are made, any member of the Police Force, Fire and Rescue Service, Ambulance Service, a vehicle being used by Special Forces during the execution of their duties or to any person acting with the permission or upon the direction of a Police Officer in uniform.
