What is happening?

SECTION 14(1) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic: A) Ladyfield Road, Chippenham; from its junction with B4528 to its junction with Sheldon Road to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out resurfacing works and other associated works. Alternative route via Sheldon Road - B4528 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 14 October 2024 and the closure will be required between the hours of 07:00 and 19:00 until 28 October 2024. B) C53 (Part), Pewsey; from its junction with A345 to its junction with the entrance to the Household Recycling Centre to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out carriageway resurfacing and associated works. Alternative route via C53 (unaffected length) -A342 - A338 - B3087 - A345 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 14 October 2024 and the closure will be required between the hours of 07:00 and 19:00 until 23 October 2024. C) UC 916904 (Part), Calne Without and Lacock; from its junction with UC 936901 for a distance of approximately 500m in a westerly direction to enable Openreach to carry out pole testing work and other associated works. Alternative route via UC 916904 (unaffected length) - UC 926801 - C155 - UC 916904 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 14 October 2024 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 for 1 day. D) C51 (Part), Patney and All Cannings; from its junction with C240 to its junction with C60 to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out verge overrun works to stabilise and improve the roadside verges following years of overrunning having taken place. Works will also involve other highway remedial works where necessary (patching, sign repairs etc). Alternative route via C51 (unaffected length) - C8 - C38 -C240 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 14 October 2024 and the closure will be required between the hours of 07:00 and 17:00 for 5 days. E) B4696 (Part), Purton; from outside its property known as No.02 Buryhill Farm for a distance of approximately 300m in a northerly direction to enable Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd to carry out bridge inspection and survey works and other associated works. Alternative route via B4696 (unaffected length) - B4042 - A429 - B4040 - B4696 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 14 October 2024 and the closure will be required between the hours of 23:00 and 06:00 for 2 nights. Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made Orders to close temporarily to all traffic: F) Park Road, Malmesbury; from its junction with Brokenborough Road to tis junction with Gloucester Road to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out resurfacing and road marking replacement works and other associated works. Alternative route via Gloucester Road -B4040 - Park Lane and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 27 September 2024 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:00 and 16:00 until 02 October 2024. G) Old Alexander Road, Malmesbury; from its junction with White Lion Park to its junction with St Aldhelm Road to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out resurfacing and road marking replacement works and other associated works. This Order will come into operation on 26 September 2024 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:00 and 16:00 for 1 day. H) A3102 (Part), Hilmarton; from its junction with C15 for a distance of approximately 400m in a north easterly direction to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out footway resurfacing, ironworks adjustments and other associated works. Alternative route via A3102 (unaffected length) - B4005 to County Boundary - A4361 - A4 - A3102 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 26 September 2024 and the closure will be required between the hours of 19:00 and 23:59 until 09 October 2024. I) C71 (Part), Nettleton; from a point approximately 545m south west of its junction with B4039 for a distance of approximately 123m in a south westerly direction to enable Openreach to carry out ducting and chamber installation works and other associated works. This Order will come into operation on 23 September 2024 and the closure will be required for 10 working days until 04 October 2024. Alternative route via C71 (unaffected length) -Nettleton Shrub south east to Fosse Way Lugbury Farm -Nettleton Shrub north to Nettleton Road - C173 - B4039 - C71 (unaffected length) and vice versa. J) Winkins Lane (Part), Great Somerford; from its junction with Dauntsey Road to its property known as No.23 Winkins Lane to enable Wessex Water to carry out installation works and other associated works. Alternative route via Winkins Lane (unaffected length) - The Folly - Park Lane - Top Street - Dauntsey Road and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 23 September 2024 and the closure will be required until 31 October 2024. For further information please contact Wessex Water on 0345 6003600. K) B4039 (Part), Castle Combe; from its property known as Woodbury Farm for a distance of approximately 600m in a north westerly direction to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out white lining, cats eyes and roundel works. Alternative route via B4039 (unaffected length) - B4040 - A46 - A420 - B4039 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order which previously came into operation on 15 August 2024 will now recommence on 24 September 2024 and the closure will be required between the hours of 19:00 and 07:00 for 3 nights. For further information please contact Renteq on 01373 454565. Orders A) to J) will have a maximum duration of 18 months, Order K) has a maximum duration of 18 months. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.

Phase 2: C76 (Part), Purton; from its junction with C88 to outside its property known as Church Farm. Phase 3: C88 (Part), Brinkworth; from its junction with Queen Street to the right of way known as Byway 61, Brinkworth. Phase 4: Byway 61, Brinkworth; from its junction with Queen Street to its junction with C88 to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out tree safety works and other associated works. Alternative routes: Phase 1: via Queen Street (unaffected length) - C67 - C76 and vice versa. Phase 2: via C76 (unaffected length) - B4042 - C88 aNd vice versa. Phase 3: via C88 (unaffected length) - C76 - B4042 - C88 (unaffected length) and vice versa. Phase 4: via C88 -Queen Street and vice versa. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. Phase 1 and 2: will come into operation on 14 October 2024 and the closures will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00 until 18 October 2024. Upon completion of phase1, phase 2 will follow sequentially. Phase 3: will come into operation on 21 October 2024 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00 until 25 October 2024. Phase 4: will come into operation 14 October 2024 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00 until 25 October 2024. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works. The Order for phases 1, 2 and 3 will have a maximum duration of 18 months. The Order for phase 4 will have a maximum duration of 06 months. Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make an Order to close temporarily to all traffic: Phase 1: C135 (Part), Bremhill; from its junction with C111 for a distance of approximately 25m in a south westerly direction. Phase 2: C111 (Part), Bremhill; from its junction with C135 to outside its property known as Hillside View. Phase 3: C111 (Part), Bremhill and Hilmarton; from its junction with C135 for a distance of approximately 600m in an easterly direction to enable Wessex Water to carry out mains replacement work and other associated works. Alternative routes: Phase 1: via C111 - A3102 - C118 -C135 (unaffected length and vice versa. Phase 2: via C135 - C118 - C111 (unaffected length) and vice versa. Phase 3 southbound: via C111 (unaffected length) - A3102 -C118 - C135 and vice versa. Phase 3 northbound: via Catcomb Street - Quakers Lane - A3102 -C111 (unaffected length) and vice versa. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. Phase 1: will come into operation on 14 October 2024 and the closure will be required until 25 October 2024. Phase 2: will come into operation on 21 October 2024 and the closure will be required until 20 December 2024. Phase 3: will come into operation 06 January 2025 and the closure will be required until 23 February 2025. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works. The Order will have a maximum duration of 18 months. ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 THE COUNTY OF WILTSHIRE (B4039 AND UC 847703, CASTLE COMBE) (40MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2024

(Previously advertised as 2023) Notice is hereby given that on 11 September 2024 Wiltshire Council made the above mentioned Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which is to revoke The County of Wiltshire (B4039 and UC 847703, Castle Combe) (40mph Speed Limit) Order 2013, for administrative purposes only, and to introduce a 40mph speed limit on B4039, Castle Combe - from a point 130 metres north west of its junction with Whitegates to a point 125 metres south east of its junction with C71 Fosseway. A copy of the Order can be obtained via email request to TrafficOrders@wiltshire.gov.uk. Any person aggrieved by the Order and desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained in the Order on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the relevant Section of the above Act or on the grounds that any requirement of that Section or of Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act or any regulation made under the said Schedule, has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within six weeks of the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court. The Order will come into operation on 26 September 2024.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

THE COUNTY OF WILTSHIRE (A4 BATH ROAD, MANTON, MARLBOROUGH) (40MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2024

Notice is hereby given that on 11 September 2024 Wiltshire Council made the above mentioned Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which is to revoke The Trunk Roads. (40mph Speed Limit) (No.8) Order 1964 and re-enact it in the above Order and to introduce a 40mph speed limit on A4 Bath Road, Manton, Marlborough - from a point 234 metres west of its junction with College Fields to a point 52 metres west of its junction with Downs Lane. A copy of the Order can be obtained via email request to TrafficOrders@wiltshire.gov.uk. Any person aggrieved by the Order and desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained in the Order on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the relevant Section of the above Act or on the grounds that any requirement of that Section or of Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act or any regulation made under the said Schedule, has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within six weeks of the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court. The Order will come into operation on 23 September 2024.
