ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14(1)
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER 2024
DILLOCK LANE, WOOTTON 24 – 062
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bedford Borough Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along Dillock Lane Wootton
This temporary road closure is required to facilitate stop tap replacements and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.
This temporary road closure is anticipated to be in operation 08:00 to 17:00 hours from 15th October 2024 to 17th October 2024
The proposed Order will come into operation on 15th October 2024, for a period of 12 months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(SHARNBROOK: PART OF BRIDLEWAY NO 15)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Bedford Borough Council have made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any person proceeding on foot or on horseback or lead a horse or cycle along the length of Sharnbrook: Part of Bridleway No 15 which extends from Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OS GR) TL 9985 5937 to OS GR TL 9966 5918.
This temporary closure is required for an installation of a new sewer main.
The closure will take place from Monday 23rd September 2024 for up to two months.
There is no alternative route for horse riders and cyclists. The alternative route for footpath users while the closure is in operation will be to proceed from OS GR TL 9985 5937 to the High Street in a north westerly direction to its junction with Home Close OS GR TL 9962 5958 and to follow in a southerly direction to Wellpond Close. Proceed in a south easterly direction along to Norman Road OS GR TL 9962 5937 and join Footpath No 9 south easterly to OS GR TL 9957 5923. Follow Footpath No 16 OS GR TL 9966 5918. There is no alternative route for horse riders and cyclists.
The Order will come into operation on 23rd September 2024 for a period not exceeding six months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out on or near to the bridleway have been completed, whichever is the earlier. If the works are not completed within six months the Order may be extended for a longer period with the consent of the Secretary of State for Transport.
