What is happening?

(Graffham: Selham Road) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024
NOTICE is hereby given that not less than 7 days from the date of this notice WSCC intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Selham Road between New Road and Glebe Cottages.
The Order is necessary to protect public safety whilst telecommunication ducting is installed. The Order will come into effect on 7 October 2024 and will last for 18 months. It is anticipated the works will commence on or after 7 October 2024 and will take 4 weeks to complete.

(Rogate: Langley Lane West & Langley Lane) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024
NOTICE is hereby given that not less than 7 days from the date of this notice WSCC intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from proceeding along:-
(i) Langley Lane West between Brewells Lane and Langley Lane; and
(ii) Langley Lane between Lngely Lane West northwards to the Electricity Distribution Site.
The Order is necessary to protect public safety whilst electrical ducts are installed. The Order will come into effect on 7 October 2024 and will last for 18 months. It is anticipated the works will commence in Langley Lane West on or after 7 October 2024 and once completed there will then move to Langley Lane to be completed by 27 October 2024.

(Chichester: Half Marathon) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024
NOTICE is hereby given that not less than 7 days from the date of this notice WSCC intend to make an Order under Sections 16A and 16B of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended), the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in either direction along the following lengths of roads:-
Westgate –from Sherborne Road roundabout to Westgate roundabout; Avenue de Chartres – from the A259 roundabout to Westgate roundabout; Orchard Street – from Northgate roundabout to Westgate roundabout; West Street – from Westgate roundabout to South Street; Priory Road – from New Park Road to Priory Lane; Oaklands Way – westbound, from New Park roundabout to Northgate gyratory; Oaklands Way – eastbound, from Northgate gyratory to New Park Road roundabout: Sherborne Road – from Westgate Road roundabout to Cathedral Way; New Road (Lavant Straight) – westbound, from Goodwood Motor Circuit emergency access to Lower Road.
The Order is necessary to facilitate the holding of the Chichester Half Marathon 2024.
The above-mentioned roads form the route to be taken by the competitors and will be closed for short periods of time on a rolling basis, starting with Westgate.
Pedestrian access to premises situated on or adjacent to the roads will be maintained.
The Order will be operative on 6 October 2024 from 0850 hours to 1200 hours.
The police will advise drivers of suitable alternative routes where necessary.

Goodwood Motor Events 2024) (Temporary Traffic Regulation) Order 2024
NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to:-
(i) Prohibit vehicles from travelling along: Claypit Lane, from The Drive to New Road; New Road, from Kennel Hill Road to Fordwater Road; and
(ii) Require all vehicles to travel at a speed not exceeding 30mph on: Claypit Lane, from New Road to a point 400M north of Madgwick Lane; New Road, from Fordwater Road to a point 400M west of the A285; Trundle Hill/Kennel Hill Road, from a point 400M south of Racecourse Road southwards to New Road; and
(iii) Require all vehicles to travel at a speed not exceeding 40mph on: Claypit Lane, from Madgwick Lane northwards for 400M; Fordwater Road, from Pook Lane to New Road; New Road, from the A285 westwards for 400M; Trundle Hill, from Racecourse Road southwards for 400M.
This Order is necessary to protect public safety and manage safe access and egress for vehicles and pedestrians attending the German Car Festival and the Classic Japfest motor events at Goodwood.
The Order will come into operation at 0700 hours on 4 October 2024 and will remain in force until 1700 hours on 7 October 2024. The road closures will be in place as required on the 5 and 6 October 2024.
All alternative routes will be clearly signed on site as necessary.

(Fishbourne: Public Footpath No. 3059) (Temporary Closure) Order 2022
NOTICE is hereby given that the Order made by WSCC under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 which came into force on 24 March 2022, with the consent of the Secretary of State for Transport, will now continue in force until 23 September 2025.
The Order is necessary to protect public safety as the path has been eroded because the sea wall has breached.
The effect of the Order is to prohibit any person from proceeding along a length of Public Footpath No. 3059 Fishbourne, from its northern end at its junction with Public Footpath No.555 (SU840041), running south-westwards and then south-eastwards to its other junction with Public Footpath No. 555 (SU839038), a total distance of approximately 425M.
Unfortunately there are no alternative routes available using the Public Rights of Way network. Any queries about the effect of the Order on pedestrians using the footpath should be directed to Rights of Way Team, WSCC, telephone number 01243 777620.

(Bognor Regis: Clarence Road Amendment) Order 2024
NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC proposes to make a permanent Traffic regulation Order under the provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to install a loading bay for any vehicle at any time on the western side of Clarence Road in Bognor Regis, mid-way between its junctions with The Esplanade and Belmont Street.
Full details of the proposals in this notice can be viewed on the Traffic Regulation Order page of the WSCC website. The website includes a response form for any comments or objections. People without access to a computer who wish to view details of the scheme should telephone the WSCC Contact Centre on 01243 642105 to receive the documents by post.
