What is happening?

Larkhill Road, Yeovil in the Parishes of Yeovil and Brympton (Temporary One-Way) Order 2024

Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, intends to make an Order, the effect of which will be to introduce the following temporary oneway restriction as specified in the Schedule below.
This Order will come into operation on the 3rd day of October 2024 and will remain in force for eighteen months. The Works are expected to commence on the 7th day of October 2024 until the 29th day of November 2024 to enable Wales and West Utilities to carry out works to update the gas mains. The restrictions will only apply when indicated by traffic signs.

Statement of reasons for making the Order
a) because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road; b) because of the likelihood of danger to the public, or of serious damage to the road, which is not attributable to such works.
