St John Street - Temporary Traffic Regulation
What is happening?
THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL
(ST JOHN STREET AND QUAY ROAD,
BRIDLINGTON (PARTS))
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH
TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
East Riding of Yorkshire Council has made an Order the
effect of which is to prohibit any person from causing
any vehicle to proceed along parts of St John Street
and Quay Road, Bridlington from its junction with
Queensgate travelling southbound to property number
254, Roxy Amusements, Quay Road.
The reason for the closure is to enable the proposed
essential electrical works - a new connection, to be
carried out and completed in a manner consistent with
ensuring the safety of the public. It is anticipated that
the works will be completed within 19 days.
The alternative route for traffic affected by the
Order is via St John Street, Scarborough Road South,
Scarborough Road Roundabout, Well Lane Bypass,
Bessingby Hill, Bessingby Road, Bessingby Way
Roundabout, Kingsgate, Station Road, Station Avenue,
Quay Road Roundabout and Quay Road.
The road will be open at all times to pedestrians and
for vehicular access to properties directly affected by
the closure and for emergency services.
The Order will commence 16 September 2024 and
continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen
months or until the works which it is proposed to
carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
