What is happening?

B6345 ACKLINGTON ROAD NORTH BROOMHILL
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE AND
SPEED RESTRICTION) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to introduce a road closure and speed restriction on the B6345 Acklington Road North Broomhill in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 23rd September 2024 until the 8th March 2025.
Road Closure:-
A road closure will be in place on the B6345 Acklington Road North Broomhill from its junction with B1330 heading westerly for a distance of 410 metres in the County of Northumberland.
It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 8th November 2024 until the 9th November 2024 between the hours of 08:00 and 16:00 during this period however the Order will remain in place until the 8th March 2025.
The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via the C104, C103, A1068, B6345 and vice-versa.
Speed Restriction:- 60mph down to 40mph
A speed restriction will further be in force on the B6345 Acklington Road North Broomhill from its junction with B1330 heading westerly for a distance of 410 metres which will restrict the speed of all vehicular traffic from 60mph down to 40mph.
It is expected that the speed restriction will be in force from the 8th November until 9th November 2024 between 16:00 hours until 08:00 during this period however the Order will remain in place until the 8th March 2025.

The road closure and speed restriction have been requested by Northumberland County Council to carry out structural patching works. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
