What is happening?

THE LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(PART OF BW0610089 & BW0604002 – PRESTON CITY)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Lancashire County Council will make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to prohibit temporarily all traffic from proceeding over the Public Bridleways indicated below:-

Part of Bridleways 0610089 & 0604002 – Preston City from Point A (SD 5113 –3333) in a generally north easterly direction for approximately 200 metres to Point B (SD 5126 – 3349) and from Point C (SD 5121 – 3341) in a generally north easterly direction for approximately 90 metres to Point D (SD 5126 – 3349)

The closure is necessary whilst works are carried out on or near the bridleways.

Access for pedestrians to any premises situated on or adjacent to the bridleways, or to any other premises accessible for pedestrians from, and only from, the bridleways, will be maintained at all times.

Nothing in the order shall apply to emergency service vehicles or to those undertaking the works

The Order will be operative from the 30th day of September 2024 until the 30th day of October 2024 or until the works are completed within this period.
