(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE NOTICE) Oakham Road and Cold Overton Road Parish of Langham CP Order 2024
Rutland County Council District Council (‘the Council’) has powers under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (‘the Act’) to make traffic regulation orders affecting the adopted highway within the County of Rutland.
TAKE NOTICE THAT the Council has made an order entitled the Rutland County Council District Council (Temporary Diversion of Vehicular Traffic) Oakham Road and Cold Overton Road Parish of Langham CP Order 2024 as the Council are satisfied that traffic on the road should be restricted because works are proposed to be executed on or near the road.
The effect of the order is that during the dates and times specified below all vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along the length of road known as Oakham Road from CE Primary School to Church Street, and Cold Overton Road, while Thomas Bow, on behalf of RCC, carry out carriageway patching works. The duration of the Closure shall be for a maximum period of six months from 4th November 2024 or until the works are completed. It is anticipated the works will take 5 days. The closure shall come into force when the appropriate signs and diversion route are erected on site. The duration of the Closure shall be as follows: from 4th November 2024 to 8th November 2024 The alternative route during the closure will be via the route shown on the attached plan and as shown on https://one.network
The alternative route during the closure of Oakham Road will be via the following streets: Oakham Road, A606, A6003, A47 Roundabout at Uppingham, A47, B6047, A607 and A606 with a reciprocal route.
The alternative route during the closure of Cold Overton Road will be via the following streets: Cold Overton Road, Somerby Road, Oakham Road, Somerby Road through Knossington, Main Street, Oakham Road, Cold Overton Road Oakham Barleythorpe Road and B640 with a reciprocal route.
