BESTHORPE - TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING multiple notices

THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

(A1133 VARIOUS ROADS, BESTHORPE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2024 (N24-288)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at Besthorpe in the District of Newark and Sherwood. The effects of the Order will be:

1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the following length of road.

 a. A1133 Gainsborough Road, Besthorpe – From its junction with Tinkers Lane, to its junction with Main Road.

 b. A1133 Main Road, Besthorpe – From its junction with A1133 Gainsborough Road, to its junction with Besthorpe Road.

c. A1133 Besthorpe Road, Besthorpe – From its junction with A1133 Main Road, to its junction with A1133 Collingham Road.

  d. A1133 Collingham Road, Besthorpe – From its junction with A1133 Besthorpe Road, to its junction with Lumbert Way.

 2.  Vehicles are prohibited from waiting, loading and unloading (Both Sides) (From 20:00 Hours until 06:00 Hours) in the following length of road.

   a. A1133 Gainsborough Road, Besthorpe – From its junction with Tinkers Lane, to its junction with Main Road.

 b. A1133 Main Road, Besthorpe – From its junction with A1133 Gainsborough Road, to its junction with Besthorpe Road.

  c. A1133 Besthorpe Road, Besthorpe – From its junction with A1133 Main Road, to its junction with A1133 Collingham Road.

  d. A1133 Collingham Road, Besthorpe – From its junction with A1133 Besthorpe Road, to its junction with Lumbert Way.

 3.  All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.

4. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.

IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows:

From 19:00 Hours, Monday 7th October 2024

Until 06:00 Hours, Saturday 19th October 2024

AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be:

Besthorpe Road, Collingham – High Street, Collingham – Newark Road, Collingham – Gainsborough Road, Langford – Lincoln Road, Langford – A1133, Winthorpe – A46 – A57 Saxilby Road – A57 Lincoln Road, Burton – A57 Lincoln Road, Burton – A57 Lincoln Road, Saxilby – A57 Gainsborough Road, Saxilby – A57 Sheffield Road, Drinsey Nook – A57 Newton Road, Kettlethorpe – A57 Southmoor Road, Newton on Trent – A1133 Collingham Road, Newton on Trent – A1133 Gainsborough Road, North Clifton – A1133 Gainsborough Road, South Clifton – A1133 Gainsborough Road, Spalford – A1133 Gainsborough Road, Girton and Vice Versa

The Order will come into force on Monday 7th October 2024 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out. The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months).
