Peebles Drive, Rutherglen Temporary Road Closure Order 2024

South Lanarkshire Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, and of all other enabling powers, has made the following Order:- 

This Order may be cited as “South Lanarkshire Council, Peebles Drive, Rutherglen, Temporary Road Closure Order 2024” and shall come into operation at 8am on Wednesday 16 October 2024 until 5pm on Tuesday 29 October 2024. 

The restrictions will be applied on site by the display of traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

Whilst this order remains in force no person shall park, drive or cause or permit to be driven any motor vehicle on the sections of road specified in Schedule 1 by reason of Scottish Power apparatus maintenance.

Nothing in Article 2 of this Order shall prevent the driving upon the said road by any vehicles which is being used in connection with the Scottish Power apparatus maintenance or by emergency service vehicles.

Schedule 1 – Temporary Road Closure 
Peebles Drive, Rutherglen Peebles Drive will be closed between Cambuslang Road and Woodside Avenue

Alternative Route Via Woodside Avenue, Selkirk Drive, Hamilton Road, Cambuslang Road, Bogleshole Road, Cambuslang Road and vice versa
