CAMBRIDGESHIRE - TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC multiple notices

What is happening?

CAMBRIDGESHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE is given that Cambridgeshire County Council intends after seven days, to make an Order pursuant to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, the effect of which is:

Norwood Road, March (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION
OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1369
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Norwood Road, March as lies between points 20m either side of the railway level crossing situated there as measured from its gates or barriers. The alternative route for vehicles is via Norwood Road – Hundred Road – Melbourne Avenue – Hostmoor Avenue
– A141 and vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate essential
maintenance works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 11 October 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 10 April 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out overnight between 11 October and 14 October 2024.

Cross Road, March (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION
OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1396
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Cross Road, March as lies between Knights End View and Knights End Road. The alternative route for vehicles is via Kinights End Road – A141 – Burrowmoor Road and vice versa.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate reinstatement repairs and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 14 October 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 13 April 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 14 October and 15 October 2024.

Middle Road, March (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION
OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1397
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Middle Road, March as lies between points 20m either side of the railway level crossing situated there as measured from its gates or barriers. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate essential maintenance works which are being carried out on or
near this highway and it will come into operation on 18 October 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 17 April 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out overnight between 18 October and 21 October 2024.

Blackbush Drove, Whittlesey (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION
OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1398
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Blackbush Drove, Whittlesey as lies between points 20m either side of the railway level crossing situated there as measured from its gates or barriers. The alternative route for vehicles is via Blackbush Drove – Cambers Drove – B1040 – Briggate West and vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate essential maintenance works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 5 October 2024 and continue until these works have
finished or on the 4 April 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out overnight between 5 October and 7 October 2024.

Wenny Estate, Chatteris (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION
OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) and (TEMPORARY REVOCATION
OF ONE-WAY TRAFFIC ORDER) ORDER 2024-1419
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Wenny Estate, Chatteris as lies between number 12 and Wenny Road. During the period this Order remains in force Cambridgeshire County Council (Wenny Estate, Chatteris) (One-Way Traffic) Order 1997, Lengths of road in the District of Fenland Parish of Chatteris, Wenny Estate (Grass island) – clockwise is hereby suspended. The alternative route for vehicles is via Wenny Estate. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate sewer connection and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 21 October 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 20 April 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be
carried out between 21 October and 30 October 2024.

Bevis Lane, Wisbech (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION
OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1424
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Bevis Lane, Wisbech as lies between North Brink and Cross Lane. The alternative route for vehicles is via Cross Lane – Lords Lane – North Brink and vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate electrical connection and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 9 October 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 8 April 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 08:00hrs and 18:00hrs 9 October 2024.

Kirkgate, Tydd St Giles (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION
OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1470
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Kirkgate, Tydd St Giles as lies between Ivy Cottage and Old Stable Gardens. The alternative route for vehicles is via Hannath Road (C10) – Hannath Road, Tydd Gote – A1101 – Common Way, Tydd St Mary – Church Way – Lowgate – B1165 – Kirkgate, Tydd St Giles and vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate water meter upgade and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 2 October 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 1 April 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 08:00hrs and 17:00hrs 2 October 2024.

Wimblington Road (B1093), Manea (TEMPORARY
PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1472
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Wimblington Road (B1093), Manea as lies between Taras Refuge and Newghant Drove . The alternative route for vehicles is via B1093 – B1100 – B1098 and vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate overhead electrical replacement and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 15 October 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 14 April 2026 whichever is the earlier.

Station Road (B1166), Wisbech St Mary (TEMPORARY
PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1473
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Station Road (B1166), Wisbech St Mary as lies between Manor House and Salix. The alternative route for vehicles is via B1166 – B1542 – A1101 – B1169 – B1166 and vice versa.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate communication pipe repair and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 29 October 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 28 April 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 29 October and 31 October 2024.

Fodder Fen Road (B1093), Manea (TEMPORARY
PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1474
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Fodder Fen Road (B1093), Manea as lies between Windmill House and Cranmore Drove. The alternative route for vehicles is via B1093 – B1100 – B1098 – B1093 and vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate electrical overhead cabling and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 7 October 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 6 April 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 7 October and 14 October 2024.

West Street, Wisbech (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION
OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1481
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along West Street, Wisbech as lies between St Pauls Close and Howletts Hill. The alternative route for vehicles is via Elm Road – A1101 – Stermyn Street (C21) – Church Terrace and vice versa.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate gas connection and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 21 October 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 20 April 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 21 October and 25 October 2024.

Ramnoth Road, Wisbech (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION
OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1490
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Ramnoth Road, Wisbech as lies between numbers 210 and 218. The alternative route for vehicles is via Ramnoth Road – Norwich Road – A1101 and vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate building demolition and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 7 October 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 6 April 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 7 October and 25 October 2024.

The above orders shall not apply to any persons lawfully engaged in connection with any works for which these are made, any member of the Police Force, Fire and Rescue Service, Ambulance Service, a vehicle being
used by Special Forces during the execution of their duties or to any person acting with the permission or upon the direction of a Police Officer in uniform.
