What is happening?

Notice is given that the Council of the City of Peterborough has made an Order pursuant to section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:

The City of Peterborough Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic Order – Wootton Avenue 2024. Ref: 25-131

The effect of which is to stop any pedestrian or cyclist from proceeding along the footpath/cycleway known as Wootton Avenue, as lies between London Road and Wootton Avenue. The Council is satisfied that pedestrians and cyclists should be prohibited due to works being proposed to be executed on the above footpath. The alternative route for pedestrians and cyclists affected by this Order is: London Road, St Margarets Road, Victoria Street, Wootton Avenue and vice versa. The Order will come into operation on the 23/09/2024 and will continue until the footpath resurfacing works have been completed or until the 22/03/2025, whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that the works will be completed between the 23/09/2024 and 24/09/2024. For further information please contact Milestone on 07384 112522. FP2

The City of Peterborough Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic Order – footpath from Burns Close to St James Avenue 2024. Ref: 25-132

The effect of which is to stop any pedestrian or cyclist from proceeding along the footpath/cycleway known as footpath from Burns Close to St James Avenue, as lies between Burns Close and St James Avenue. The Council is satisfied that pedestrians and cyclists should be prohibited due to works being proposed to be executed on the above footpath. The alternative route for pedestrians and cyclists affected by this Order is: St James Avenue, Portland Avenue, Shakespear Avenue and vice versa. The Order will come into operation on the 23/09/2024 and will continue until the utility repair and maintenance works have been completed or until the 22/03/2025, whichever is the earlier. The City of Peterborough Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic Order 2024 – 17 Helpston Road, Ailsworth, Peterborough. Ref: 25-137

The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as 17 Helpston Road, Ailsworth, as lies between its junction with Main Street and Holme Close. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is via: Helpston Road, Main Street and vice versa. The proposed order will come into force on the 23/09/2024 and will continue until the new gas connection works have been completed or until the 22/09/2025, whichever is the earlier. Closure dates will be confirmed locally on site. It is anticipated that the works will take place between the 23/09/2024 and the 27/09/2024. The proposed order will come into force on the 24/09/2024 and will continue until the carriageway works on A47 works have been completed or until the 23/09/2025, whichever is the earlier. Closure dates will be confirmed locally on site. It is anticipated that the works will take place between 24/09/2024 and 05/10/2024. The City of Peterborough Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic Order 2024 – A15 Paston Parkway. Ref: 25-153

The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as A15 Paston Parkway, full length of southbound entry slip at junction 20. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is: A15 north, A15 J21, A15 South. The proposed order will come into force on the 30/09/2024 and will continue until the street lighting maintenance works have been completed or until the 29/09/2025, whichever is the earlier. Closure dates will be confirmed locally on site. It is anticipated that the works will take place between the 30/09/2024 and the 03/10/2024.
