What is happening?

HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF B1004 GREAT HADHAM ROAD, BISHOPS STORTFORD) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of B1004 Great Hadham Road,
Bishops Stortford from its junction with the Oriole Way/Villiers-Sur-Marne Avenue roundabout north eastwards for a distance of approximately 353m (“the Road”). An alternative route will be via B1004 Great Hadham Road, A1184 Bishops Park Way, A1250 Hadham Road, B1529 North Street and B1004 (High Street/Windhill/Great Hadham Road). The Order is needed because telecom works are proposed to be executed near the Road. If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 6 October 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road. (TEMPORARY CLOSING OF BRIDGE STREET, BISHOPS STORTFORD) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Bridge Street, Bishops Stortford from its junction with B1529 North Street north eastwards to its junction with Water Lane, a distance of approximately 45m (“the Road”). An alternative route will be via B1529 North Street, A1250 (Hadham Road/Link Road) and Bridge Street. The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road. If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 8 October 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road. (TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN KETTLE GREEN LANE, MUCH HADHAM) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Kettle Green Lane, Much Hadham from its junction with B1004 Widford Road north eastwards and south eastwards for a distance of approximately 670m (“the Road”). An alternative route will be via B1004 (Widford Road/Medcalf Hill/High Street/Ware Road/Widbury Hill/Star Street), A1170 (High Street/Baldock Street/Wadesmill Road), Cambridge Road, High Road, Ermine Street, Gore Lane, C39 (unnamed road) and Kettle Green Lane. ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of the Road whilst works are in progress. The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road. If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 7 October 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road. (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT MEASURES ON VARIOUS ROADS IN LITTLE HADHAM AND BISHOPS STORTFORD) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect on the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”) will be:-
1. To prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of Roads and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads, whilst works are in progress:-
a) the A120 Little Hadham Bypass/Standon Road roundabout, Little Hadham from its junction with A120 Standon Road clockwise for its entire length.
An alternative route will be via A120 (Standon Road/Stortford Road/Kents Lane/Standon Hill), A10 (Wadesmill Bypass/unnamed road/Amwell Link Road), A414 (Eastwick Road/Fifth Avenue/Edinburgh Way), A1184 (Cambridge Road/Harlow Road/Bonks Hill/London Road/Cambridge Road/London Road/St James Way/Bishops Park Way) and A120 (Hadham Road/Little Hadham Bypass).

b) that length of A120 Standon Road, Little Hadham from a point 80m north west of its junction with the Standon Road/A120 Little Hadham Bypass roundabout south eastwards for a distance of approximately 80m. An alternative route will be via A120 (Standon Road/Stortford Road/Kents Lane/Standon Hill), A10 (Wadesmill Bypass/unnamed road/Amwell Link Road), A414 (Eastwick Road/Fifth Avenue/Edinburgh Way), A1184 (Cambridge Road/Harlow Road/Bonks Hill/London Road/Cambridge Road/London Road/St James Way/Bishops Park Way) and A120 (Hadham Road/Little Hadham Bypass).

c) that length of Standon Road, Little Hadham from its junction with the A120 Standon Road/A120 Little Hadham Bypass roundabout south eastwards for a distance of approximately 80m. An alternative route will be via A120 Little Hadham Bypass and Standon Road.

d) that length of A120 Little Hadham Bypass, Little Hadham from its junction with the A120 Standon Road/ Standon Road roundabout north eastwards and south eastwards to its junction with the A120 Hadham Road/ Hadham Road roundabout, a distance of approximately 3833m. An alternative route will be via A120 (Standon Road/Stortford Road/Kents Lane/Standon Hill), A10 (Wadesmill Bypass/unnamed road/Amwell Link Road), A414 (Eastwick Road/Fifth Avenue/Edinburgh Way), A1184 (Cambridge Road/Harlow Road/Bonks Hill/London Road/Cambridge Road/London Road/St James Way/Bishops Park Way) and A120 Hadham Road.

e) that length of Hadham Road, Bishops Stortford from its junction with the A120 Little Hadham Bypass/A120 Hadham roundabout north westwards for a distance of approximately 80m. An alternative route will be via A120 Little Hadham Bypass, Standon Road and Stortford Road.

f) that length of A120 Hadham Road, Bishops Stortford from its junction with the A120 Little Hadham Bypass/ Hadham Road roundabout south eastwards to its junction with the A1250 Hadham Road/A120 Bishops Stortford Bypass roundabout, a distance of approximately 555m. An alternative route will be via A120 (Little Hadham Bypass/Standon Road/Stortford Road/Kents Lane/Standon Hill), A10 (Wadesmill Bypass/unnamed road/Amwell Link Road), A414 (Eastwick Road/Fifth Avenue/Edinburgh Way) and A1184 (Cambridge Road/Harlow Road/Bonks Hill/London Road/Cambridge Road/London Road/ St James Way/Bishops Park Way).

g) the A120 Little Hadham Bypass/A120 Hadham Road roundabout, Bishops Stortford from its junction with Hadham Road clockwise for its entire length.
An alternative route will be via A120 (Little Hadham Bypass/Standon Road/Stortford Road/Kents Lane/Standon Hill), A10 (Wadesmill Bypass/unnamed road/Amwell Link Road), A414 (Eastwick Road/Fifth Avenue/Edinburgh Way), A1184 (Cambridge Road/Harlow Road/Bonks Hill/London Road/Cambridge Road/London Road/St James Way/Bishops Park Way) and A120 Hadham Road.

2. To prohibit all vehicular traffic from driving at a speed exceeding 40mph on that length of A120 Hadham Road, Bishops Stortford and A120 (Little Hadham Bypass/Standon Road), Little Hadham from its junction with the A1250 Hadham Road/A120 Bishops Stortford Bypass roundabout north westwards, south westwards and north westwards for a distance of approximately 4568m, when signs are in progress. The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads. If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 7 October 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads. (TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTRIONS IN HIGH WYCH LANE/ BEANFIELD ROAD, HIGH WYCH) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of High Wych Lane/Beanfield Road, High Wych from its junction with High Wych Road north westwards, north eastwards, north westwards and north eastwards to its junction with West Road, a distance of approximately 1261m (“the Road”). An alternative route will be via High Wych Road, A1184 (Harlow Road/Bonks Hill/London Road) and West Road. ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of the Road whilst works are in progress.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road. The Order has been made and shall come into force on 23 September 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road. A copy of the proposed Orders may be inspected free of charge at County Hall, Hertford between the hours of 9am and 5pm (excluding weekends, bank and public holidays).
