ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)

LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON

(WEST BARNES LANE, KT3)

(TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) (NO. 1) ORDER 2024

  1. The London Borough of Merton Council hereby give notice that to facilitate railway works at the Motspur Park Level Crossing on West Barnes Lane, KT3, they have made an Order, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicular traffic in the said road.

  2. Whilst the works take place no person will:

    (a) cause or permit any vehicle to enter or proceed in West Barnes Lane between a point 20 metres south-west of the Motspur Park level crossing and a point 20 metres north-east of that level crossing;

    (b) cause or permit any vehicle to wait, including for the purpose of loading or unloading any vehicle, in the road or length of road specified in sub-paragraph (a) above.

  3. The restrictions will only apply during such times and to such extent as will from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

  4. An alternative route for diverted vehicular traffic will be via West Barnes Lane, Claremont Avenue, Burlington Road and West Barnes Lane, or vice versa.

  5. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

  6. Nothing in the Order will apply to: -

    (a) any person carrying out the works or any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works;

    (b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform;

    (c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, subject to site conditions; or

    (d) so as to prevent vehicular access to premises in or adjacent to the length of road specified in paragraph 2 above, insofar as such access is reasonably practicable without interference with the works.

  7. The Order will come into operation at 11pm on Monday 16th September 2024 and will remain in force until 5am on Tuesday 17th September 2024.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)

LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON

(WORPLE ROAD MEWS, SW19)

(TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024

  1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate water connection works in Worple Road Mews they intend to make an Order, the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict vehicular and pedestrian traffic in the said road.

  2. During the works, no person would: -

    (a) cause or permit any vehicle to enter or proceed in Worple Road Mews, from its junction with Worple Road north-westward for a distance of 66 metres; or

    (b) cause or permit any vehicle to wait, including for the purposes of loading or unloading, in Worple Road Mews from its junction with Worple Road to a point 10 metres south-east of its north-westernmost extremity; or

    (c) proceed in the north-eastern footway of Worple Road Mews, from a point 10 metres south-east of the north-westernmost extremity south-eastward for a distance of 20 metres.

  3. The restrictions would only apply during such times and to such extent as would from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

  4. Nothing in the Order would apply: -

    (a) to any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or

    (b) to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or

    (c) to any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, subject to site conditions; or

    (d) so as to prevent vehicular access to premises in or adjacent to Worple Road Mews insofar as access is reasonably practicable, without interference with the works. Road plates will be provided for such access.

  5. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any waiting prohibition imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

  6. The Order would come into operation on Monday 30th September 2024 and it is anticipated that the works would be completed by 30th September 2024.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)

LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON

(COMPTON ROAD AND WIMBLEDON HILL ROAD, SW19)

(TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024

  1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate electric cabling works in Wimbledon Hill Road, SW19, they intend to make an Order, the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict vehicular and pedestrian traffic in the said road and restrict vehicular traffic in Compton Road.

  2. During the works, no person will: -

    (a) cause or permit any vehicle to enter or proceed in:

    (i) Compton Road, from its junction with Wimbledon Hill Road north-eastward for a distance of 16 metres;

    (ii) Wimbledon Hill Road, the nearside, south-eastbound lane, between its junction with Woodside and its junction with St Mark's Place;

    (b) cause or permit any vehicle to wait, including for the purposes of loading or unloading, in:

    (i) the length of Compton Road specified in sub-paragraph (a)(i) above; or

    (ii) Wimbledon Hill Road, between its junction with Woodside and its junction with St Mark's Place;

    (c) proceed in the north-east footway of Wimbledon Hill Road, between its junction with St Mark's Place and the common boundary of Nos. 37 to 39 Wimbledon Hill Road and Nos. 41 to 45 Wimbledon Hill Road.

  3. The restrictions will only apply during such times and to such extent as will from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

  4. An alternative route for diverted vehicular traffic will be via Wimbledon Hill Road, Alwyne Road and Worcester Road, or vice versa.

  5. Nothing in the Order would apply: -

    (a) to any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or

    (b) to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or

    (c) to any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, subject to site conditions; or

    (d) so as to prevent pedestrian access to premises adjacent to the length of road specified in sub-paragraph 2(a) above insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference with the works.

  6. The Order would come into operation on Monday 16th September 2024 and will remain in force for 3 months. It is anticipated that the works would be completed by 30th September 2024.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)

LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON

(HOME PARK ROAD, SW19)

(TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) (NO. 5) ORDER 2024

  1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate building works at No. 85 Home Park Road, SW19, they intend to make an Order, the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in the said road.

  2. During the works, no person would cause or permit any vehicle to wait, including for the purpose of loading or unloading any vehicle, in Home Park Road, the south-east side, between the common boundary of Nos. 83 and 85 Home Park Road and the common boundary of Nos. 85 and 87 Home Park Road.

  3. Any designated parking place situated in the length of road specified in paragraph 2 above would be suspended for the duration of the works.

  4. The restrictions would only apply during such times and to such extent as would from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

  5. Nothing in the Order would apply to: -

    (a) any vehicle being used for loading or unloading in the execution of the said works; or

    (b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform; or

    (c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, subject to site conditions.

  6. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

  7. The Order would come into operation on Monday 30th September 2024 and it is anticipated that the works would be completed by 30 November 2025.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)

LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON

(LINKS ROAD, SW17)

(TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024

  1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate water pipe repair works in Links Road, SW17, they intend to make an Order, the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in the said road.

  2. During the works no person would cause or permit any vehicle to: -

    (a) enter or proceed in Links Road, SW17, between its junction with Deal Road and its junction with Eastbourne Road;

    (b) wait, including for the purposes of loading or unloading, any vehicle, in the length of Links Road specified in sub-paragraph (a) above.

  3. Any designated parking place situated in the length of Links Road specified in paragraph 2 above would be suspended for the duration of the works in that length of road.

  4. The restrictions would only apply during such times and to such extent as would from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

  5. Nothing in the Order would apply: -

    (a) to any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or

    (b) to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or

    (c) to any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, subject to site conditions; or

    (d) so as to prevent vehicular access to premises in or adjacent to the road or length of road specified in paragraph 2(a) above insofar as such access is reasonably practicable without interference with the works.

  6. Vehicular traffic affected by the road closure in Links Road should proceed using Deal Road, Eastbourne Road and Seely Road.

  7. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

  8. The Order would come into operation on Monday 23rd September 2024 and it is anticipated that the works would be completed within 5 days. However, the Order would remain in force for 3 months should further works be required.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)

LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON

(CLAY AVENUE AND MULHOLLAND CLOSE, MITCHAM)

(TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024

  1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate the laying of electricity ducts and cable in Clay Avenue and Mulholland Close, Mitcham, they have made an Order, the effect of which will be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in the said roads.

  2. During the works, no person will cause or permit any vehicle to wait, including for the purpose of loading or unloading any vehicle in: -

    (a) Clay Avenue, from the common boundary of Nos. 122 and Nos. 123 to 127 Clay Avenue to a point 55 metres north-east of its junction with Mulholland Close;

    (b) Mulholland Close, from the common boundary of Nos. 14 and 15 Mulholland Close to its junction with its north-easternmost junction with Clay Avenue.

  3. Any length of designated parking place situated in the roads or lengths of road specified in paragraph 2 above will be suspended for the duration of the works.

  4. The restrictions will apply only during such times and to such extent as would from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

  5. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any waiting restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

  6. Nothing in the Order will apply to: -

    (a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or

    (b) any person carrying out the works or any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or

    (c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, subject to site conditions.

  7. The Order will come into operation on Friday 13 September 2024 and will remain in force for 3 months. It is now anticipated that the works will be:

    (a) Clay Avenue, will be carried out from Monday 30 September 2024 until Friday 25 October 2024

    (b) Mulholland Close, will be carried out from Monday 7 October 2024 until Friday 25 October 2024.
