What is happening?

Warwickshire County Council

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
Warwickshire County Council has made the following Temporary Traffic Orders:

BLACKHORSE ROAD, BEDWORTH
Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic between points 20 metres either side of the crossing.

Reason for Order: Railway tamping works through the level crossing, overnight 23.00hrs-09.00hrs.
Order Commences: 28 September 2024 for up to 18 months.
Anticipated Completion: September 2024.

Access & Diversion: Blackhorse Road, Ironbridge Way, Grange Road, Oakmoor Road, Longford Road, Foleshill Road, Jimmy Hill Way, Bedworth Bypass, Pickards Way and vice versa.

Contractor: Centurion Traffic Management, Tel: 01132 775 360.

HIGHFIELD ROAD, NUNEATON
Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic.

Reason for Order: To enable hydrant rebuild chamber works.

Order Commences: 23 September 2024 for up to 18 months.
Anticipated Completion: 25 September 2024.

Access & Diversion: Highfield Road and vice versa.
Contractor: For STW, Chevron TM Ltd, Tel: 03300 80 820.

OLD ARDEN CLOSE, BEDWORTH
Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic from its junction with Leicester Road.

Reason for Order: To enable works for boundary box and meter installation.

Order Commences: 26 September 2024 for up to 18 months.
Anticipated Completion: 27 September 2024.

Access & Diversion: There is no available diversion.

Contractor: For STW, Chevron TM Ltd, Tel: 03300 080 820.
Warwickshire County Council proposes to make the following Temporary Traffic Orders:

BLACKHORSE ROAD, BEDWORTH
Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic.

Reason for Order: Tamping works, closed 23.00hrs-09.00hrs.
Order Commences: 5 October 2024 for up to 18 months.
Anticipated Completion: 6 October 2024.

Access & Diversion: Blackhorse Road, Ironbridge Way, Grange Road, Oakmoor Road, Longford Road, Foleshill Road, Jimmy Hill Way, Bedworth Bypass, Pickards Way and vice versa.

D1163 LINGWOOD DRIVE AND D1161 BROOMFIELD RISE, NUNEATON
Order Effect: Roads closed to vehicular traffic as follows: Lingwood Drive – closed in its entirety from Croft Road, Broomfield Rise – closed in its entirety from Lingwood Drive.

Reason for Order: Footway reconstruction and associated works, 08.00hrs-17.00hrs weekdays only.

Order Commences: 7 October 2024 for up to 18 months.
Anticipated Completion: 31 October 2024.

Access & Diversion: No suitable diversions available, access/Egress will be maintained where possible to businesses and residents only. Access/egress to/from Heather Close and Brackendale Drive may also be restricted whilst works are in progress.

FIR TREE GROVE, NUNEATON
Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic from a point outside property number 5 to the junction with Bradestone Road.

Reason for Order: To enable works for laying of a new gas service.

Order Commences: 9 October 2024 for up to 18 months.
Anticipated Completion: 11 October 2024.

Access & Diversion: Fir Tree Grove, Red Deeps, Raveloe Drive, Bradestone Road and vice versa.

Contractor: For Cadent Gas, Headway TM, Tel: 01564 820 118.

WINDERMERE AVENUE, NUNEATON
Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic.

Reason for Order: To safely enable pipe installation works.

Order Commences: 7 October 2024 for up to 18 months.
Anticipated Completion: 10 October 2024.

Access & Diversion: St Nicolas Park Drive, Grasmere Crescent, Windermere Avenue and vice versa.

Contractor: Severn Trent Water, Tel: 02079 494 510.

For all of the above temporary orders, pedestrian access to and egress from properties and land situated adjacent to the length of road to be closed will be maintained at all times. Vehicular access will be maintained where possible.

B4113, SERGEANT SIMON VALENTINE WAY (NEAR D1611, HIGH STREET), BEDWORTH
SECTIONS 65 & 66 HIGHWAYS ACT 1980 PROPOSED CONVERSION OF FOOTWAY TO SHARED USE FOOTWAY/
CYCLE TRACK AT B4113, SERGEANT SIMON VALENTINE WAY & D1611, HIGH STREET, BEDWORTH

Warwickshire County Council hereby gives notice of its intention to:

• install a Toucan Crossing on the B4113, Sergeant Simon Valentine Way near D1611, High Street, Bedworth, (as described in the Schedule 1 below) the purpose of the scheme is to create a pedestrian/cycleway link into Miners Welfare Park from the Town Centre, pursuant to section 23 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

• convert parts of existing footways on the B4113 Sergeant Simon Valentine Way and High Street, Bedworth (as described in the Schedule 2 below) into a shared use footway/cycle track for use by pedestrians and cyclists, pursuant to sections 65 and 66 of the Highways Act 1980.

On the B4113, Sergeant Simon Valentine Way, 25 metres east of the roundabout junction with D1611, High Street, Bedworth.

SCHEDULE 2
CONVERSION OF FOOTWAY TO SHARED USE FOOTWAY/
CYCLE TRACK S65/S66 HIGHWAYS ACT 1980

D1611, High Street, Bedworth – East side
Start/end of the proposed shared cycle track on east side of High Street in a southerly direction for approximately 18 metres to the junction with Sergeant Simon Valentine Way.

B4113, Sergeant Simon Valentine Way, Bedworth – North side
From the junction with D1611, High Street for approximately 26 metres in an easterly direction.

South side
Start/end of the proposed shared cycle track at a point approximately 13 metres east of the junction with B4113, Coventry Road in an easterly direction for a distance of approximately 40 metres.
