WEST BERKSHIRE DISTRICT COUNCIL
UNDER SECTION 14/1 OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 WEST BERKSHIRE DISTRICT COUNCIL (THE COUNCIL) INTENDS TO MAKE ORDERS AS FOLLOWING

(PANGBOURNE HILL, PANGBOURNE)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2024
The Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in any direction over Pangbourne Hill in Pangbourne between its junction with Bere Court Road and its junction with A340 Tidmarsh Road. The alternative route for all vehicles affected by the Order is via Pangbourne Hill, Yattendon Road, Unnamed Road from Buckhold Hill to Yattendon Road, Buckhold Hill, Ashampstead Road, Chalk Pit Farm Road, A340 Pangbourne Road, A340 Road Known as Theale Road, A340 The Street, A340 Tidmarsh Road, and vice versa. The purpose of this Order is to enable works to take place on or near the highway, namely for SSE to provide a new service connection. The proposed Order will come into effect on 16th September 2024. It is envisaged that the closure will be in place between 16th and 20th September 2024.

(A4 GRAVEL HILL, SPEEN)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2024
The Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding Westbound over the A4 Gravel Hill in the Parish of Speen between its junction with A34T and A4 West Roundabout and its junction with Benham Park. The alternative route westbound only for all vehicles affected by the Order is via B4000 toward Lambourn, Wantage Rd (A338) toward Hungerford. The purpose of this Order is to enable works to take place on or near the highway, namely for Thames Water to carry out reinstatement work in the carriageway. The proposed Order will come into effect on 16th September 2024. It is envisaged that the closure will be in place during the hours of 8pm Friday to 1pm Saturday between 20th and 21st September 2024. 

(ENBORNE STREET, ENBORNE)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2024
The Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in any direction over Enborne Street in the Parish of Enborne between its junction with Unnamed Road from Enborne Street to Wash Water and its junction with Vanners Lane. The alternative route for all vehicles affected by the Order is via Wheatlands La, Unnamed Road from
Vanners Lane to Skinners Green, Wheatlands La (second section), Redhill, and vice versa. The purpose of this Order is to enable works to take place on or near the highway, namely for SSE to install a new service connection. The proposed Order will come into effect on 16th September 2024. It is envisaged that the closure will be in place between 17th and 24th September 2024.

(DENE WAY, SHAW-CUM-DONNINGTON)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2024
The Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make an order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in any direction over Dene Way in the Parish of Shaw-Cum-Donnington from its southern junction with Northern Avenue back 40 metres along its west side loop. The alternative route for all vehicles affected by the Order is via Northern Ave, Dene Way west side loop, and vice versa.
The purpose of this Order is to enable works to take place on or near the highway, namely for Thames Water to carry out reinstatement works to the carriageway. The proposed Order will come into effect on 30th September 2024. It is envisaged that the closure will be in place between 1st and 3rd October 2024.

(HOLTWOOD ROAD, HAMSTEAD MARSHALL)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2024
The Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make an order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in any direction over Holtwood Road in the Parish of Hamstead Marshall between its junction with Ash Tree Grove and its junction with Watery Lane. The alternative route for all vehicles affected by the Order is via Unnamed Road from Craven Arms to Holtwood Rd, Redhill, Watery La, and vice versa. The purpose of this Order is to enable works to take place on or near the highway, namely for Thames Water to carry out disconnection works.
The proposed Order will come into effect on 30th September 2024. It is envisaged that the closure will be in place between 30th September and 2nd October 2024.

(HATCH LANE, BUCKLEBURY)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2024
The Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make an order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in any direction over Hatch Lane in the Parish of Bucklebury between its junction with Kiff Green and its junction with Broad Lane.
The alternative route for all vehicles affected by the Order is via Broad Lane, Carbinswood Lane, Kiff Green and vice versa. The purpose of this Order is to enable works to take place on or near the highway, namely for BT to carry out remedial works along this carriageway. The proposed Order will come into effect on 30th September 2024. It is envisaged that the closure will be in place between 1st and 3rd October 2024.

(PITFIELD LANE, MORTIMER)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2024
The Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make an order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in any direction over Pitfield Lane in the Town of Mortimer between its junction with The Street and its junction with Drury Lane. The alternative route for all vehicles affected by the Order is via Drury Lane, West End Road, The Street and vice versa. The purpose of this Order is to enable works to take place on or near the highway, namely for Thames Water to carry out maintenance and repair works. The proposed Order will come into effect on 30th September 2024. It is envisaged that the closure will be in place between 2nd and 4th October 2024.

Unless stated otherwise the above orders shall remain in force for a period of eighteen months, or until the works are complete, whichever is the soonest, they will not take effect until approved traffic signs have been erected. Final details of the closure can be viewed on One.Network
