What is happening?

STAFFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – (AS AMENDED)
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION (SPECIAL EVENTS) ACT 1994
STAFFORD 10K 2024 VARIOUS ROADS IN THE COUNTY OF STAFFORDSHIRE
Notice is hereby given that the Staffordshire County Council will make an Order on the 17/09/2024 the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in those roads in the Borough of Stafford that comprise the route of the Stafford 10K as summarised below. Any vehicle being used in connection with the event; or being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purpose will be exempt from the restrictions contained in the Order.
The restrictions are necessary to maintain the safety of all participants and road users. No alternative routes are advised for affected traffic as the restrictions will only be effective for so long as is necessary for the participants to pass.
The Order will not at any time prevent access of pedestrians to properties situated on or adjacent to any road to which the order relates or to any properties only accessible to pedestrians from such a road.
The route comprises of the roads below.
A5187 Victoria Road, B5066 Tenterbanks, B5066 Mill Bank, Greengate Street, Bridge Street, A518 Lichfield Road, A34 Queensway, A34 Lichfield Road, Riverway, Corporation Street, Prospect Road, Read Avenue, Douglas Road West, Douglas Road, Trenchard Avenue, Portal Road, A513 Beaconside, B5066 Sandon Road, The Haybarn, The Isabel Trail, A5288 Doxey Road, Doxey Road, North Castle Street, South Street, Cycleway from Doxey Road to Izaak Walton Walk, Izaak Walton Walk, Link Footway from Newport Road to Mill Bank via Meadow Bridge, B5066 South Walls, Greengate Walk, Tipping Street, Mill Street, Water Street, Timberfield Road, Castle Hill, Common Walk, Stone Road, Greyfrairs, Rowley Street, Nursery Lane & Link Footway Between Nursery Lane And Isabel Trail; Stafford.
Further roads covered by this Order and in which may be restricted in order to help facilitate the event are:
Waterfront Way, South Street, Queensway A34, A518 Lammascote Road, Corporation Street, Castle Street, South Street and A518 Weston Road (at its junction with Corporation Street and Riverway).
This Order will also require the Suspension of the One Way Order on Earl Street for the duration of this Order. (The Bus Lane is suspended for the duration of this Order).
The left turn from Asda onto A34 Queensway is temporarily suspended for the duration of this Order.
The Limited Waiting bays 30 Mins (No Return 30 Mins) Monday-Saturday 9am-6pm on Mill Street are temporarily suspended for the duration of this Order.
No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to be loaded or unloaded for the Duration of this Order on Earl Street.
No person shall cause or permit any vehicle from turning right from Tesco car park onto the A518 Newport Road.
No person shall cause or permit any vehicle from turning right from Trenchard Avenue car park onto Douglas Road West.
Vehicular access into the town centre for St Mary’s Church, access to the Swan Hotel car park and the Broad Street Taxi Rank will be available via Gaolgate Street, Stafford Street and Earl Street.
Egress out of town will be available via Earl Street and Chell Road.

IT IS ANTICIPATED THAT THE ROADS WILL BE CLOSED FROM 06:30 HOURS. THE ROAD WILL RE-OPEN ONCE THE EVENT HAS CONCLUDED WHICH IS ANTICIPATED TO BE BY 14:00 HOURS.
The Order will come in to operation on the 22/09/2024 and will remain in force until the event has concluded. The event is being organised by Freedom Leisure, Stafford Leisure Centre, Lammascote Road, Stafford.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 198 – TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC
Notice is hereby given that Staffordshire County Council on 17/09/24 made an Order the effect of which is to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along:

A34 Stone Road, Redhill. For more information regarding access arrangements, timings and diversion routes please visit https://one.network/?tm=139788990. The Order will come into operation on 23/09/24 and the said works will commence on or as near as practicable to that date. It is anticipated the works will be completed by 20/10/24. The Order will remain in force for a period of 18 months or until the carriageway remedial works, which it is proposed to carry out on or near the road have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

Coleridge Drive, Stafford. For more information regarding access arrangements, timings and diversion routes please visit https://one.network/?tm=139732946. The Order will come into operation on 23/09/2024 and the said works will commence on or as near as practicable to that date. It is anticipated the works will be completed by 24/09/2024. 
The Order will remain in force for a period of 18 months or until the valve servicing works, which it is proposed to carry out on or near the road have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

Flashbrook Road, Knighton. For more information regarding access arrangements, timings and diversion routes please visit https://one.network/?tm=139820016. The Order will come into operation on 24/09/2024 and the said works will commence on or as near as practicable to that date. It is anticipated the works will be completed on the same day. The Order will remain in force for a period of 18 months or until the pole replacement works, which it is proposed to carry out on or near the road have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

A520 Radford Street, Stone. For more information regarding access arrangements, timings and diversion routes please visit https://one.network/?tm=139613030. The Order will come into operation on 23/09/24 and the said works will commence on or as near as practicable to that date. It is anticipated the works will be completed by 24/09/24. 
The Order will remain in force for a period of 18 months or until the temporary water flow meter installations, which it is proposed to carry out on or near the road have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

Coton Lane, Ranton. For more information regarding access arrangements, timings and diversion routes please visit https://one.network/?tm=139786292. The Order will come into operation on 25/09/24 and the said works will commence on or as near as practicable to that date. It is anticipated the works will be completed by 27/09/24. The Order will remain in force for a period of 18 months or until the boundary box installation works, which it is proposed to carry out on or near the road have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

Hilcote Lane, Sturbridge. For more information regarding access arrangements, timings and diversion routes please visit https://one.network/?tm=139132415. The Order will come into operation on 24/09/24 and the said works will commence on or as near as practicable to that date. It is anticipated the works will be completed on the same day. 
The Order will remain in force for a period of 18 months or until the pole and overhead cable replacement works, which it is proposed to carry out on or near the road have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

Notice is hereby given that Staffordshire County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order the effect of which is to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along:

Shrewsbury Rd, Stafford. For more information regarding access arrangements, timings and diversion routes please visit https://one.network/?tm=139628527. The Order will come into operation on 07/10/24 and the said works will commence on or as near as practicable to that date. It is anticipated the works will be completed by 15/10/24. The Order will remain in force for a period of 18 months or until the Severn Trent Water pipe repairs, which it is proposed to carry out on or near the road have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

Oldershaws Lane, Shebdon. For more information regarding access arrangements, timings and diversion routes please visit https://one.network/?tm=139825482. The Order will come into operation on 09/10/2024 and the said works will commence on or as near as practicable to that date. It is anticipated the works will be completed by 11/10/2024. The Order will remain in force for a period of 18 months or until the meter renewal works, which it is proposed to carry out on or near the road have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

Audmore Road, Gnosall. For more information regarding access arrangements, timings and diversion routes please visit https://one.network/?tm=139739072. The Order will come into operation on 07/10/2024 and the said works will commence on or as near as practicable to that date. It is anticipated the works will be completed by 09/10/2024. 
The Order will remain in force for a period of 18 months or until the culvert repair works, which it is proposed to carry out on or near the road have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

Morrilow Heath Road, Morrilow Heath. For more information regarding access arrangements, timings and diversion routes please visit https://one.network/?tm=139798755. The Order will come into operation on 08/10/2024 and the said works will commence on or as near as practicable to that date. It is anticipated the works will be completed on the same day. The Order will remain in force for a period of 18 months or until the pole replacement works, which it is proposed to carry out on or near the road have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
