Waltham Forest - Multiple Traffic Notices, Temporary Road Closures and Restrictions due to Works.
What is happening?
LONDON BOROUGH OF WALTHAM FOREST
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
THE WALTHAM FOREST (TW MAINS REPLACEMENT) (E4 REGION)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITIONS) (NO. 1) ORDER 2024
The Council of the London Borough of Waltham Forest HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that it intends or making an Order to allow for the replacement of mains by Thames Water, to be carried out in a safe and efficient manner in the E4 region.
The general effect of the Order would be, only at such times and to such extent as regulatory signs are displayed, to prohibit vehicles from entering, proceeding, waiting or loading for any purpose, at any time, in:
i) Carbis Close E4 - between its junction with Station Road and the south facing wall of No. 4 Jubilee Villas;
ii) the access road leading to Chingford Assembly Hall and Library.
The general effect of the Order would also be, only at such times and to such extent as regulatory signs are displayed, to prohibit pedestrians from entering or proceeding for any purpose, at any time, in the footpath between Station Road E4 and The Green E4.
Note: The closure along the said footpath would occur in phases, with lengths of each section of the closure indicated by signage.
The Order would come into operation on 30th September 2024 and would be valid for a maximum period of 6 months or until the works are completed, whichever is the sooner.
NOTE: The works are expected to be completed within 2 months, but additional time is required for contingencies. (Ref: TT53(24))
THE WALTHAM FOREST (CRANE DISMANTLING) (OLIVER ROAD E10)
(TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) (NO.1) ORDER 2024
The Council of the London Borough of Waltham Forest HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that on 12th September 2024 it made an Order to allow for the safe and efficient dismantling of a tower crane in Oliver Road E10 by Nationwide Traffic Solutions.
The general effect of the Order will be, only at such times and to such extent as regulatory signs are displayed, to prohibit vehicles from entering, proceeding, waiting or loading, for any purpose, "at any time" n, Oliver Road E10 - between the common boundaries of the Orient football stadium with No. 73 and No. 77 Oliver Road (adjacent to the Orient football stadium). Parking places located within this section of Oliver Road would be suspended.
The Order will come into operation on 14th September 2024 for a maximum period of 6 months or until the works are completed, whichever is the sooner.
NOTE: The duration of works is expected to be 2 days however the validity of this notice has been extended to allow for any contingencies. (Ref: TT56(24))
THE WALTHAM FOREST (THAMES WATER SERVICE CONNECTION)
(CLARENDON ROAD E17) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITIONS) (NO. 1) ORDER 2024
The Council of the London Borough of Waltham Forest HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that on 12th September 2024 it made an Order to allow for the connection of services to mains by Thames Water, to be carried out in a safe and efficient manner, in Clarendon Road E17.
The general effect of the Order will be, only at such times and to such extent as regulatory signs are displayed, to prohibit vehicles from entering, proceeding, waiting or loading for any purpose, at any time, in Clarendon Road E17 - between the common boundary of Nos. 2/4 and its junction with Pembroke Road The Order will come into operation on 23rd September 2024 for a maximum period of 6 months or until the works are completed, whichever is the sooner.
NOTE: The works are expected to be completed within 5 days, however, the Order has been extended to allow for any contingencies. (Ref: TT57(24))
THE WALTHAM FOREST (WATER MAINS REPLACEMENT) (E17 ROADS)
(TEMPORARY MEASURES) (NO. 1) ORDER 2024
The Council of the London Borough of Waltham Forest HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that it intends on making an Order to enable water-mains & supply pipe replacement works by Thames Water, to be carried out in a safe and efficient manner in various road within the E17 region.
The general effect of the Order would be, only at such times and to such extent as regulatory signs are displayed, to prohibit vehicles (except works vehicles) from entering, proceeding, waiting or loading for any purpose, at any time, in the roads mentioned in the Schedule to this Notice.
Whilst works are being carried out and only at such times and to such extent as regulatory signs are displayed no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to wait or load for any purpose, at any time, within 15 metres of the junction of any road adjoining the roads mentioned in the Schedule to this Notice.
Whilst works are being carried out and only at such times and to such extent as regulatory signs are displayed any one-way working or no-entry prohibitions in any roads or parts of roads mentioned in the Schedule to this Notice, or in any roads or parts of roads adjoining the roads or parts of roads mentioned in the Schedule to this Notice would be temporarily suspended.
The Order would come into operation on 5th October 2024 and would be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works are completed, whichever is the sooner (this applies to all roads mentioned in the Schedule and allows for unforeseen constraints which may abort works until a future time) and the Waltham Forest (Various Roads) (Water-Main Replacement) (Road Closures) (No. 1) Order 2023 will be revoked in its entirety. Vehicles waiting or loading in disregard of the aforementioned Orders would be removed.
The prohibitions mentioned in all notices above would not apply in relation to any vehicle being used:
(a) in connection with the said works; or
(b) for ambulance, fire brigade or police purposes (if the works allow).
Any designated controlled parking spaces situated in the roads or parts of roads affected by any of the measures set out in the notices above will be suspended.
Signage will be placed in advance of any works in the roads mentioned in the aforementioned notices which would give more specific details on the exact dates of the prohibitions, effects of any temporary traffic management and diversion routes as necessary.
