Mae Ombwdsmon Gwasanaethau Cyhoeddus Cymru wedi cyhoeddi adroddiad terfynol yn dilyn ymchwiliad i gŵyn yn ymwneud â’r gofal a’r driniaeth a ddarparwyd i glaf yn Ysbyty Brenhinol Morgannwg ym mis Mehefin 2022. Mae’r adroddiad yn amlygu methiannau o ran cael caniatâd gan y claf, ac mewn perthynas â gofal ôl-driniaethol priodol gan gynnwys monitro, lleddfu poen a gofal y geg. Mae’r adroddiad hefyd yn nodi’r oedi gan y Bwrdd Iechyd wrth ymateb i swyddfa’r Ombwdsmon. Mae’r Bwrdd Iechyd yn derbyn yn llawn yr argymhellion sydd wedi’u cynnwys yn yr adroddiad ac mae camau gwella yn cael eu rhoi ar waith.
Bydd copi o’r adroddiad ar gael ar wefan y Bwrdd Iechyd (https://bipctm.gig.cymru/) ac i’w archwilio gan y cyhoedd yn ddi-dâl yn ystod oriau swyddfa arferol yn Nhŷ Ynysmeurig, Parc Navigation, Abercynon, CF45 4SN am gyfnod o 3 wythnos o 12 Medi 2024.

Notice pursuant to s.24(3) of the above Act.
The Public Services Ombudsman for Wales has issued a final report following an investigation of a complaint relating to the care and treatment provided to a patient at the Royal Glamorgan Hospital in June 2022. The report highlights failings in the obtaining of consent from the patient, and in relation to appropriate post-operative care including monitoring, pain relief and oral care. The report also sets out delays by the Health Board in responding to the Ombudsman’s office. The Health Board fully accepts the recommendations included within the report and improvement actions are being implemented.
A copy of the report will be available on the Health Board’s website (https://ctmuhb.nhs.wales) and for inspection by the public without charge during normal office hours at Ynysmeurig House, Navigation Park, Abercynon, CF45 4SN for a period of 3 weeks from 12 September 2024.
