Pennypot Lane (D26) Chobham - Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic Order For Bt Openreach To Facilitate Replace Telegraph Pole Works

What is happening?

THE SURREY COUNTY COUNCIL

Pennypot Lane (D26) Chobham Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 11 September 2024 Surrey County Council made the abovementioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) Pennypot Lane (D26) Chobham which extends from its junction with Beggars Lane (X319) to the southwestern property boundary line of “Pennypot House” and (b) suspend “The Surrey County Council Pennypot Lane (D26) Chobham Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024” insofar. 

Alternative Route – Pennypot Lane (D26), Bagshot Road (A319), High Street (A3046), Castle Grove Road (C11), Scotts Grove Road (C11) and Pennypot Lane (D26) or the same route in reverse. 
This Order is required to allow BT Openreach to facilitate replace telegraph pole works, which is anticipated to be completed within 2 days, between 9:00am and 5:00pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 23 September 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency vehicles, residents, pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. All other vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route. 

Gracious Pond Road (D40) Chobham Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 11 September 2024 Surrey County Council made the abovementioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Gracious Pond Road (D40) Chobham which extends from the southwestern property access road to “Butts Hill Cottage” for 150m in a south-westward direction. 

Alternative Route – Gracious Pond Road (D40), Stonehill Road (D42), Old Chertsey Road (D42), Chertsey Road (A319), Windsor Road (B383), Red Lion Road (C8) and Gracious Pond Road (D40). This Order is required to allow BT Openreach to facilitate replacing decayed telegraph pole works, which is anticipated to be completed within 2 days, between 9:30am and 3:30pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 25 September 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency vehicles, residents, pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. All other vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route.
