Hamilton Road, Rutherglen Temporary Road Closure – Order 2024

South Lanarkshire Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, and of all other enabling powers, has made the following Order :-

This Order may be cited as “South Lanarkshire Council, Hamilton Road, Rutherglen, Temporary Road Closure Order 2024” and shall come into operation between 8am 4 November 2024 and 6pm 28 March 2025.

The restrictions will be applied on site by the display of traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

Whilst this order remains in force no person shall park, drive or cause or permit to be driven any motor vehicle on the sections of road specified in Schedule 1 by reason Scottish Water sewer repair.

Nothing in Article 2 of this Order shall prevent the driving upon the said road by any vehicle which is being used in connection with the Scottish Water sewer repair or by emergency service vehicles.

Schedule 1 – Temporary Road Closure – Hamilton Road, Rutherglen

Hamilton Road will be closed between 19 Hamilton Road and Stonelaw Road Alternative Route Northbound via Hamilton Road, McCallum Avenue, Main Street and Stonelaw Road Southbound via Stonelaw Road, Dryburgh Avenue, Calderwood Road and Hamilton Road
