What is happening?

WARRINGTON BOROUGH COUNCIL

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 Notice is hereby given that, in not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice, the Council intends to make Orders under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

A5061 Knutsford Rd & Wash Ln (Prohibition of Driving, Clearway & 20 MPH Speed Limit) Temporary Order 2024

The effect of which will be as follows: Prohibition of Driving: Wash Ln (northbound only) from Prescott St to Knutsford Rd; Clearway: Wash Ln from Prescott St to Knutsford Rd; Knutsford Rd (westbound) from Wash Ln to Black Bear Bridge; 20mph Speed Limit: Knutsford Rd (westbound) from Wash Ln to Black Bear Bridge. The Order will be effective from 14th October 2024 for 4 weeks, between 9:30am & 3pm. The alternative route will be via Station Rd, Grammar School Rd & Knutsford Rd. The restrictions are required for footway surfacing & dropped pedestrian crossing improvements. Ref: 7834626

Church Ln, Grappenhall (Prohibition of Driving & Clearway) (Autumn) Temporary Order 2024

The effect of which will be to introduce a prohibition of driving & clearway on Church Ln from its jct. with Broad Ln to its jct. with Glebe Ave. The Order will be effective from 26th October 2024 for 2 weeks. The closure will be in place for 24 hours when needed during school half term & between 9am to 2:30pm during term time. The alternative route will be via Church Ln, A56 Chester Rd, A50 Knutsford Rd, Bellhouse Ln & vice versa or via Broad Ln, Grappenhall Ln, A50 Cliff Ln, A50 Knutsford Rd, Bellhouse Ln & vice versa. The restrictions are required to allow continuing works to Heritage Area reconstructing & relaying cobbled road surface. Ref: 9831788

The effect of which will be to introduce a prohibition of driving & clearway as follows: Entire lengths of road: Hughes Ave; Dorothea St; Dudley St; Halsall Ave; Hunter Ave; Roscoe Ave; Warren Rd; Part lengths of road: Mortimer Ave from the jct. with Lathom Ave to the jct. with West Ave; Dudley St full length of rear alleyway to Nos. 4 to 74; Hale St from the jct. with Longford St to the jct. with Fitzherbert St; Neville Ave from the jct. with Park Rd to adj. to No. 160; Neville Ave from the jct. with Park Rd to adj. to No. 32; Sandy Ln from the dead end adj. to No. 74 to the jct. with Tennyson Dr. The Order will be effective from 7th October 2024 for 9 weeks, between 8:30am & 5:30pm. Access will be under the control of the event organiser for the duration of the event. The alternative route will be via London Rd, Walton Rd, Chester Rd, Slutchers Ln, Wilson Patten St, Parker St, Liverpool Rd, Sankey Way, Priestley St, Froghall Ln, Midland Way, Manchester Rd, Kingsway Nth, Kingsway Sth, Knutsford Rd, Cliff Ln & vice versa. The restrictions are required to facilitate The Warrington Running Festival. Ref: 11008336

Birdwell Dr Segregated Footway & Mapplewell Cres Segregated Footway (Footway Closure) Temporary Order 2024 Notice is hereby given that the Council made an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of which is to introduce a footway closure as follows: Birdwell Dr Segregated Footway for its entire length; Mapplewell Cres Segregated Footway for its entire length. The Order will be effective from 18th September 2024 for 2 weeks. The alternative routes will be signed on site. The closures are required to allow Scottish Power to carry out mains renewal works. Ref: 10696104

The temporary restrictions will be in place as & when the signs are in place on site. Access will be under the control of the relevant Contractor for the duration of the works.
