What is happening?
WIGAN COUNCIL
(East Lancashire Road Golborne) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024 Notice of Making
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Assistant Director Infrastructure and Regulatory Services of Wigan Borough Council in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and delegated to her by the said Council has made the Wigan Borough (East Lancashire Road Golborne) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024.
The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any person from driving a vehicle or causing or permitting a vehicle to be driven in East Lancashire Road Golborne during the period of three days commencing on 19/09/2024 from 20:00 to 06:00.
The alternative route for traffic is: a signed diversion route for traffic will be in place. The Order is necessary to allow the Highways road marking renewal scheme on Haydock Island.
(Devon Street Leigh) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024 Notice of Making
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Assistant Director Infrastructure and Regulatory Services of Wigan Borough Council in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and delegated to her by the said Council has made the Wigan Borough (Devon Street Leigh) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024.
The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any person from driving a vehicle or causing or permitting a vehicle to be driven in Devon Street Leigh during the period of one day commencing on 25/10/2024. The alternative route for traffic is: Manchester Road, Stafford Street and York Street.
The Order is necessary to allow PMV major service.
(Wigan Road Back Service Road 38-66, Atherton) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024 Notice of Making
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Assistant Director Infrastructure and Regulatory Services of Wigan Borough Council in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and delegated to her by the said Council has made the Wigan Borough (Wigan Road Back Service Road 38-66, Atherton) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024.
The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any person from driving a vehicle or causing or permitting a vehicle to be driven in Wigan Road Back Service Road 38-66, Atherton during the period of four days commencing on 12/11/2024 to 15/11/2024. The alternative route for traffic is: Lambeth Street and Leighton Street.
The Order is necessary to allow trial holes for electric connection.
