What is happening?

WESTMORLAND AND FURNESS COUNCIL (A5087 HINDPOOL ROAD, BARROW IN FURNESS AND U5722 MORECAMBE ROAD, ULVERSTON) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable Network Plus to be carry out utility works (brief description of proposed works) ("the Works"), Westmorland and Furness Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the following sections of road: A5087 Hindpool Road, Barrow-in-Furness, from its junction with the A590 North Road, extending in a south easterly direction for a distance of approx. 90m.

Alternative Route: via the unrestricted section of the Hindpool Road, Cornmill Crossing, Jute Road and North Road.

Duration: From 1st October 2024 for approx 2 days (Ref: TTROW/11646)

U5722 Morecambe Road, Ulverston, from a point approx. 190m south east of its junction with Hill Fall, extending in a south easterly direction for a distance of approx.40m.

Alternative Route: via the unrestricted section of Morecambe Road, Chapel Street and Lightburn Avenue.

Duration: From 1st October 2024 for approx. 2 days (Ref: TTROW/11648)

The Order will come into operation on 1st October 2024 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restrictions will only be required as detailed above, and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
