Scotby Road, Temporary Prohibition Due To Bridge Examination Works
What is happening?
CUMBERLAND COUNCIL (C1038 SCOTBY ROAD, SCOTBY) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable bridge examination works to be carried out ("the Works"), Cumberland Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that section of the C1038 Scotby Road, Scotby, from its junction with Park Road, extending in a southerly direction for approx. 80m to its junction with Lambley Bank.
A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times and a suitable alternative route for vehicles will be signed and available via the unrestricted sections of the C1038, B6263 Wetheral, U1179 Plains Road and A69.

The Order will come into operation on 2 October 2024 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restriction will only be required for 1 day between 1000 and 16:00 hours and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
